I. OBJECTIVES:
Teaching aims: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to know a little bit what they would do in
the situations which require first aid, give and respond to instructions.

11. Put the cotton ball on it.
12. Use a bandage to bind round it.
13. Rub oil / ointment on it.
14. Use a towel or a handkerchief to cover

- Play the tape for Ss 3 times
- Ask Ss to practice in pairs

- Let Ss read the dialogue silently to select the
topics covered in the dialogue.
- Have Ss work in groups to write the answers on
a sheet of paper and hand in after finishing.
- Collect students’ papers and correct.

4. Production: (10’)
- Have Ss take turn to play the roles to
demonstrate the dialogue
- Ask Ss to retell the story using the information
from the dialogue.

5. Homework: (2’)
- Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary and the

phrases of first-aid requirements.
- Prepare next lesson: Unit 9- Speak/ p. 81

more phrases with the same use from students.
