PART A. Introduction:

In this era, the era of information technology, then English is used widely as an


international language it is considered the second language of all countries in the
world. Thanks to the English people worldwide know each other, understand each
other and friendly with each other. English is one language has a vocabulary so rich
and people who use it do not meet many difficulties. Learning to speak English
fluently and is totally easy, because we do not understand the pronunciation, accent
and use of the word to use is important. Students learn our most not deep, yet there
is a vocabulary necessary for learning and their communication everyday.

Vocabulary is one of the most important part of language learning. If you want
good at English, at whatever abilities: listening, speaking, reading and writing we
also need a fairly large vocabulary. Vocabulary does not have to stop or two on a
day which, it should be a review process of training, learning and accumulation of
new long form. Generally students are "afraid" and "block" from the new school,
the use of even more limited: misspelled, use of false, incorrect pronunciation, use
of inaccurate, inconsistent with context. Most children have a habit of reciting the
meaning of the word. Some children just rote response to the nature of assaults on
the table or when the teacher test, then you need to use the forgotten or do not know
how to use words. Some children learn by trying out new words that they should

have seen many posts from new to a fear and afraid to learn new words.

All the above is because students do not know how to learn vocabulary, not to find
yourself a methodology appropriate vocabulary. As a teacher directly teaching of
English in recent years in BuP'rang secondary school I understand and sympathize
with the difficulties they often encounter in learning and using English vocabulary.
I want somehow to help them overcome these difficulties, somewhat easy and
convenient to use when speaking English fluently, writing and translation.
In this article I personally think and boldly give some instruction in English
vocabulary learning through research and explore and document some of the
experience itself. But the scale of the problem this I have no ambition and not
enough to make all methods of teaching and learning English vocabulary with these
methods expect partly to help students learn and further improve their some words
necessary. Thereby they experience more easier to learn and practice your
vocabulary.

I. The reason to choose topics .

We are living in XXI century, the century of modern civilization, the century of
science and technology information. Our country is in the time taken to develop the
knowledge economy as the basis for the development and education must be
regarded as a top national policy and improve the quality of teaching and learning
to complete the training and nursing human resources for industrialization and

modernization of the country. To survive and develop the construction and defense
to keep up with the developed world requires us to grasp the most advanced
achievements. Vietnam to bring the country into a civilized and prosperous
countries.
Thus the subject system in schools today is towards the practical problems that
core. Department of English but later included in common with other subjects in
school in general and BuPrang secondary schools in particular, but it is the key to
the treasure of human knowledge. It was the Scouts take us to the world shaking
hands with friends in Europe, to absorb and comprehend the essence of humanity.
However, the study of English in secondary schools in general and in particular
BuP'rang secondary schools also faced many difficulties, especially in learning and
using English words. So teach students how to learn, practice and use English
vocabulary to give students a living treasure of the dictionary is an essential
requirement in English especially for new students subjects familiar with English.
How do you get it to a vocabulary necessary to use capital from its most effective
way. Let me give you some reference experience guiding students to learn
vocabulary that I have accumulated in the process of learning and teaching. That's
why I choose this topic.

Based on understanding the reality of teaching and learning English vocabulary of
the students. I myself would like to present some proposals on guiding students to

Initiatives within a personal experience I do not dare bring many problems, not
otherwise qualified to offer a range of problems that only encapsulated within a
small part of learning English vocabulary.

PART B. The Content.

I. Rationale

1. The position of the learning task in English.

English vocabulary as a tool, the most important means of using and learning
English. At any one skill of learning a foreign language must be used from this
vung.Vi English vocabulary is the capital, is a valuable product, is the main tool to

use English words.

2. The teaching and learning English vocabulary.

In a course in English, most of which also contains a lesson "to introduce
vocabulary." To achieve high results lesson, students should know how to
pronounce as well as the use of the word. To do this teachers need to select the
appropriate skills for each class so that students from easy to understand, easy to
remember and easy to use. Through the process of teaching and reference, let me
give some methods of teaching and learning of English vocabulary that I find
common interest in undergraduate students.

2.1 Need to learn from that?

For students of English can be divided into three groups

systematic, students can use various skills to manipulate the learning from this
group.

From abstract to explain to students such as:

2.2 Draw a picture:


Teachers can guide students to draw simple images so that they can remember from
last longer. They could have just drawn, by which students can deepen the longer
word. With this course students are easy to learn and very easy to remember words
that I just finished.

2.3 Use of physical

Teachers can guide students to use the objects around him. When students learn a
word related to the real object of life around us, the teachers can teach students
about the recall or look at things and point out that it is something , With this
method students can understand and remember from last longer, and when they
missed as they can recall those words by looking at things that I've ever used it
before.

2.4 Give an example.

After a number of words learned in class, teachers can guide students in a group
home placed in simple sentences with those words. Since then the student can
remember the words and phrases in a simple. With this method students can use
from the correct position and training to students likely to use better grammar.

2.5. Using Pictures

When you learn new words teachers should guide students to think of a word
picture that I am learning so that students can quickly remember the word meant
when no.Voi see this approach helps students use the images around them and in
the process of review and practice your vocabulary, where students can remember
and understand meaning of the word faster.
For example:
A hat (một cái mũ)
A picture (một bức tranh)
A house (một ngôi nhà)

2.6 Give antonyms.

The teacher can give a student or group study included a word or a phrase and ask
you another offer antonyms to the word.
With this approach help to recall words they've learned before, over there, students
can deepen and recall from there again.
For example:
Small (nhỏ)> Short (ngắn)> Ugly (xấu)>
2.7 Give synonyms .

Students can explore and remember the words that you learned earlier by giving
synonyms for words that I finished last. This way students can understand and
remember what they learned from the past.
For example:
Play football = soccer play
Corn = maize: corn
To learn = to study
A bike = a bicycle
Lemon juice = lemonade

2.8 Learn to spell and pronounce .

Not only learn the meaning of words that teachers need to teach students how to
learn how to spell and pronounce.
Pronunciation plays a very important role in language learning in general and of
English in particular. Pronunciation is the foundation for both speaking and
listening skills of reading, pronunciation, the reader will be confident when
speaking and listening better. With these skills enables students to use a more
effective way of learning by myself.

2.9 Studies in logic begins with the last letter of the word before.

With this approach helps students remember what they learned from the past. From
that enables students to systematize vocabulary they have learned, and students can
remember more words.

2.10 Studies on the theme:

With this approach helps students to be the system from which they had learned,
which help students consolidate and remember from deeper and longer, more

2.11 Use words to translate all.

Translate all is one very important skill of learning English, so the use of words to
translate all very important, they must know the use of the service all in a flexible
way. This way, students can memorize vocabulary longer use the words previously

learned, this method requires that students know how to use grammar more
effectively and remember the words longer.

2.12 Giving from the original .

When a teacher or a student from any given base a teacher then asks students to
develop new words from which other means. With this approach help develop
thinking skills and develop from the original. Since then students have a much
more basic vocabulary.
For example:
Teach (Teaching) - teacher (teacher)
Drive (drive) - driver (the driver)

2.13 Learning from have regular daily .

Spend a little time about 20 to 30 minutes to school each day rather than spend
time learning in a school day but occasionally. This way can help review in practice
many times a certain number of words, which helps them remember the word

longer.

2.14 Have each student a vocabulary notebook.

Each student should have a notebook recording daily vocabulary, every word you
can record from 10 to 15 times. Teachers can stop recurring revenue, encouraged to
take the breath test or additional test points 15 minutes. This way students can
practice from more frequent and more long memory.

2:15 Write vocabulary into a piece of paper .

In addition to the written word to the vocabulary notebooks students can use pieces
of paper and write words on it, then learn them any anytime, anywhere. In this way
students save a lot of time, students can learn by doing, a convenient way.

II. Factual basis

1. Views of teachers and students.


Student:

Most students when they are asked to love learning English? then they answer is
yes, but when it comes to vocabulary problems, most replied that they were not
interested. Because they think learning English vocabulary difficult to remember
and take a long time, almost afraid and lazy students learn English vocabulary
conscientiously.

Teacher:

Most teachers are subjective, not paying attention going into the school and learn
how to use the vocabulary of students, the majority of teachers reported to only a
few children by reading from it or write to the table. So students have to learn to
cope, but not deep.

2. Status of teaching and learning English vocabulary in secondary school .

Contents of the skill level to be achieved:
In any one class of English are also required to teach the vocabulary section, so

essential vocabulary for each class of students. To teach vocabulary most effective
teachers have flexibility to use the skills taught English vocabulary and
communication skills of teachers. Ask each teacher to grasp and understand the
importance of using English words, in the learning process of students. Therefore,
teachers should inform the choice of appropriate skills to the level of student
awareness. In practice the vocabulary taught in secondary schools BuP'rang also
faced many difficulties, because teaching facilities are lacking, most students are
minorities, the teacher's experience is limited, economic local economic difficulties
also. Hence not a few to influence the learning of children, children learning to help
parents make the home, the cultivation, so that the learning time of the children are
more limited. Do not have time to explore, study and go into the academic
departments in general and of English in particular. They just rote learning, learning
to cope teachers check, then reuse it when they are forgotten. But this is a difficult
and important subject, both teachers and students are very seriously, especially
learning and teaching vocabulary to students.

3. Measures proposed:

The teacher must clearly define the tasks of teaching and learning English
vocabulary, we have determined to teach students English vocabulary is to help
students perform better in such skills as listening, speaking, reading and writing
fluency. Students develop vocabulary, have the ability to select, organize sentences,

III. Results of the study subjects.

Before the application of the subject, results and effectiveness of student learning
vocabulary is limited, I remember even more vague, imprecise, clearly a word.
Through the teaching and guiding students to practice vocabulary and methods to
students in BuP'rang secondary schools grade 6. Widely available to children, both
direct teaching in class, just instructions to students in other blocks made of the
subject content and achieve quite satisfactory results.

PART C. Conclusions and lessons learned

Through practical guide students to learn and practice English vocabulary is a
matter of necessity and importance. Teachers must create conditions for them to
learn and practice an effective way. Teachers should guide and help students make
the best learning method to learn and practice vocabulary is a job teaching the

principles of English vocabulary. Good teachers to teach the students to learn
vocabulary, in which students also learn to know the thinking and application of a
flexible way. But teachers also need instructions on how to use the word, put
questions to practice from just taught, have had to raise capital from the student,
and the ability to use the words of the children. In-school teachers to combine and
guide them to comment on the size, number of words to learn and practice daily, to
ensure the direction of renewing teaching methods, student-centered . They are
active learning, creative initiative, independent thinking unrestrained nature,
stereotype machines. But students are still some difficulties when learning and
practicing English vocabulary, so require teachers to be flexible and creative in
guiding students. Teachers must constantly motivate students and encourage them
boldly, more active learning of English is so new students learning these subjects.
Above are some thoughts, I explore the process of teaching students, learning and
practicing English vocabulary. Do not have much time to research the qualifications

and experience are limited to the above problem can not avoid the wrong sot.Toi
