Language focus - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer about numbers of objects. Vocabulary: seven, eight, nine, ten. Structures: (Ten) (teddy bears) 2. Skill - Listening, speaking, reading, writing. 3. Attitude - Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary. II. Teaching aids + Teacher’s aids: Ss’book and teacher’s book, class CDs, flashcards, TV. + Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, workbook. III. Warm up (5’) *Activity: Musical cards - T play some lively music. - Hand out the flashcards from the previous lesson. - T let’s Ss to pass the flashcards around all the rows of seats while the music is playing. - T stop the music suddenly. Ask S who are holding the flashcards to stand up and say the word. E.g. “one.” - T play the music and continue in the same way. 3. New lesson (30’) Teacher - Students’ activities *Activity A. Listen and point. Repeat. (5’) - T arrange the flashcards on the board, play the CD and point to each flashcard. - T plays the CD again and asks Ss to point to the pictures in their books.. Play game *Activity: “Guess” (5’) - T arrange the flashcards on the board and write a number under each card. - T asks Ss to look at the flashcards for the count of ten. Turn the flashcards over to face the board when the students are not looking. Call out a number and have students take turns to guess the face-down card. Turn the card over after each guess. *Activity B 1. Listen and point. (5’) 1. Listen and point. - T asks Ss to call out the things they can see. - T asks to count the cars, balls and teddy bears. - T asks Ss to listen and follow. - T play the CD and demonstrate pointing. - T plays the CD and asks Ss to listen and point. 2. Listen and repeat. (5’) 2. Listen and repeat. - T asks Ss to look at the useful language box. - T play the CD and asks Ss to listen to the useful language. - T asks Ss to practice the useful language. *Activity C. Point and say (5’) C. Point and say - T asks Ss to look at the pictures and identify the things they see. - T divide the class into pairs. - Have Student A point to the pictures and Student B say, e.g. "seven books." - Swap roles and repeat. - t calls some pairs demonstrate the activity in front of the class. *Activity: “Count the objects” (5’) Play game - T asks Ss to take out their school objects and have them work in pairs. Language focus - By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer about numbers of objects. Vocabulary and structures: Review. Structures : How many (cars)?(Seven) (cars). 2. Skill - Listening, speaking, reading, writing. 3. Attitude - Encourage Ss to use the structure more regulary. II. Teaching aids - Book, CD, phonics cards, paper including the lyrics of the chant. Warm up (5’) *Activity: Feely Bag - T put some pictures in a bag. - T asks Ss to sit in a circle. - T play some music and ask children to pass the bag from one child to the next around the circle. - T stop the music suddenly. The child who has the bag when the music stops feels a picture in the bag and says “seven books.” Then Ss pulls the picture out of the bag to see if he/she was correct. - T play the music and continue in this way until several children have had a turn. 3. New lesson (30’) Teacher - Students’ activies *Activity D. 1. Listen to the story. (8’) - T asks Ss to look at the picture and call out the things they can see.. Contents 1. Listen to the story..

Activity: “Running dictation” game. (7’) Play game - T stick some pictures (one bag, nine teddy bears, ten cars, eight balls) on the walls in the class. - T ask Ss to work in pairs. One runs and find the pictures around him/ her, then turn back to his pair and tell what he/ she has seen. E. g: One bag. His/ Her friend writes down the word he/ she has heard. V.
