- By the end of this unit, pupils can say, recognize and write the letter Uu and Vv.
- Pupils can recognize and say the sound /v/.


- Pupils can develop fine motor control.
<b>II. Procedures</b>


<b>*Warm up: Review the known letters of the alphabet.</b>
<b>A. Presentation</b>


<i><b>1. Learn the letter</b></i>


<b>Step 1: Say umbrella, up, van and volcano. Pupils repeat the words.</b>
<b>Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words. </b>


<b>Step 3: Have pupils repeat the letter and letter sound.</b>
<b>Step 4: Tell pupils to practice.</b>


<b>B. Practice</b>


<i><b>2. Sing</b></i>



<b>Step 1: Play the CD. Tell pupils to listen to the song.</b>


<b>Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line. Sing the line and tell pupils to </b>
repeat after teacher.


<b>Step 3: Play CD again and ask pupils to sing the song.</b>
<b>C. Production</b>


<i><b>3. Find</b></i>


<b>Step 1: Tell pupils to find the letter u and v in the alphabet.</b>

<b>Step 1: Point to Tess. Check that pupils are pointing to her.</b>
<b>Step 2: Repeat with all the characters on the page</b>


<b>B. Practice</b>

<b>Step 1: Play the CD. Tell pupils to listen to the song.</b>


<b>Step 2: Play the CD again and pause after each line. Sing the line and tell pupils to </b>
repeat after teacher.
