high-quality products).
- Undoubtedly, food violates safety guidelines coming from unknown
origins -> cheap price.
- Poor quality ingredients are sold with low price to attract more buyers.
2. The majority of customers still prefer low-cost food items.

- Vietnamese are willing to choose bad food with cheap price rather than
those with higher price.
- They find no difference between good-quality products and bad ones. =
They all the same in Vietnamese people’ eyes/ point of view/ opinion.


3. Both suppliers and retailers are beneficial from this business.

- Food suppliers can provide, or in order words, swipe away all rotten

food.
- Retailers buy products from suppliers with cheap price, then re-sell
them to customers with higher price for better interest.
4. Government does not have a strong solution.

- They should be more responsible. = take action= do something more
serious.
- Authorities must prohibit/ ban/ prevent it from happening by enacting
law related to this.
5. They are always available.

- Low quality food items are everywhere, every market, and even in
supermarket.
- Customers cannot ignore their presence= availability.

money

- Hiring temporary house helper is way cheaper than= compared to fulltime one.

- If you do not really like the way they work, you can easily dismiss/fire
them.
- Another one is always available -> does not take much time to seek for=
find= look for.
3. Most

part-time maids are students -> they are easygoing,

straightforward, honest.
- Students work for experience rather than because of big amount of
income.
- They easily accept rules and benefits given without asking for more.
4. House’s

owners do not have to worry much about other benefits

along with wages.
- You have to be responsible for your house maids, particularly full-time
ones.( Health care, accommodation, food, benefits,..)
- Do not have to take care of their= part-time maid personal lives as
well (their families, their children’s school lives,..)
5. Not

everyone needs full-time maids

- A full-time= permanent house maid can help with everything ( cleaning,

washing, ironing,..), but not all owners need it.

1. People learn easier when engaging themselves into situations.
- Taking part in an activity is always a good way to really get to know

something new.

- Knowing how to keep something important in mind all lifelong is another

1. They are reliable and trustworthy. = dependable = not telling lies.

professional they are.


- Hiring a friend also means that you understand how good they are in terms
of knowledge.
- You know what they have and what they should be trained in order to be
better and more beneficial.
3. Take time to hang out= relax=chill out= unwind after having tasks finished.
- You are more flexible, comfortable working with your friends.
- After working time, you can go out, have fun or even have a drink with your
friends.
4. Get some pieces of advice. = Ask what should you do.
- They are working with you, so they know if there is any problem coming up.

- They will always be there for you. = They won't run away when you need

Topic 3: The more technology is developed, the less communication people
have.

AGREE.
1. They often send pure text messages. = texts.
- Texts are fast, convenient and they can fake people's actual expressions.
- They provide more emojis. = funny expressions.
2. They spend more time on their phones or computers.
- No more time for a get together with friends.
- It is harder to really understand what is going on in their lives.


3. People, especially children can hardly interact in real life.
- It is sad but true because they are familiar with non-verbal communication
already.
4. Technology helps them to memorize special things, which means they do
not care more about their beloved.
- For example, they do not have to keep in mind their spouse's birthday since
their phones are in charge of that.
- Less memorizing, less loving.
5. They feel more convenient and comfortable while sending messages, not
talking directly to each other.
- Every time they have to talk in real life, they feel shy and uncomfortable
because they are used to using technology to convey expressions instead of

Topic 4: Vietnam has a good variety of produce but imported produce is
increasing while exports and domestic are low. As customers, what can we
do to support Vietnamese farmers?

2. Go for Vietnamese high-quality produce.
- To get best impression.
- Help farmers realize= recognize that they should provide better goods to be
chosen.
3. Reduce using imported products.
- Money-saving = No need to pay much money.


- Get larger products regarding both quality and quantity.
4. Willing to pay more. = Are okay to pay higher than usual.
- Encourage farmers = suppliers to cultivate better produce.
- Show = Indicate that Vietnamese agricultural products deserve to be paid =
to be considered as high as imported ones.
5. Share how you think after using Vietnamese goods.
- Give your feedback to the producers or farmers for improvements.
- Spread the idea of using our own products to other people. = Post review

Topic 5: In the 2005 commencement speech at Standford University, Steve

Speaking Part 3 – Tháng 08/2019

Topic 1: If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.
Mark Twain. Do you agree or disagree with this saying.

hay không đồng ý với câu nói này.
1. You have to make a lot of effort to tell lie rather than telling truth.
- When you are honest, it takes you less energy.
- Not only making effort to tell lies, but also making effort to memorise
all of them.
2. It is not easy= a piece of cake to construct=build=make up a lie.
- This is because you have to keep your story straight.
- In case you are not conscious enough, your story will overlap one
another.


3. When you don't have to pressure yourself with lies, it will become
more blessed=comfortable=relaxed.
- Honesty brings you good sleep at night as you don't need to make up
another fake news to cover the one you made up today.
- Lies ruin your relationship sooner or later.
4. Your stories will be different spreading from one person to another.
- Because they are built by you, they will not turn out to be totally the
same when you tell your lies from this person to that person.
- It is the same when you draw something. The third them will be
different from the first and the second time.
5. You can fully enjoy your life with honesty and truth.
- Because not a single day goes by with lies and dishonesty.
- Instead of making up lies and waste effort to remember them, let us do
the opposite to save time for good things are coming up next.

Topic 2: One of the problems of Internet development is the spread of
fake news or false information. What are some reasons people spread
fake news online.
Một trong những vấn đề của sự phát triển Internet là sự tràn lan tin giả.

Hãy nêu những nguyên nhân mà con người lan truyền tin giả trên mạng.
1. To hook attention = To draw attention = To get everyone's
attention.


- Some people find their lives boring=unproductive=monotonous.
- They want others to spend times on them.
2. To get themselves fame.
- A lot of people desire for virtual fame. They believe that they will be
known if they spread fake news online.
- News followers are easily trapped in false information. That is the
reason why false information spreaders love to do such a thing.
3. To buy fun for themselves without caring others.
- They find spreading fake news relaxing.
- Seeing people being confused because of them is one of the greatest
things ever.
4. To get their own benefits in terms of earning money= making
money.
- Some people compliment on poor quality product=which means sharing
fake information about the product to sell the product easier.
- Some famous people, they are paid to tell beautiful words as feedback to
low end cosmetics, for example. These are lies.
5. To revenge those they hate.
- They share false information about someone they don't like to ruin their
reputation.


- Haters are spreading news which are not true about their rivals= those
they dislike to feel satisfied.


Topic 3: Never spend your money before you have earned. it. Thomas
Jefferson. Do you agree or disagree with this statement. Give reasons

1. You may spend more than the total amount of what you have.
- If you have 100.000d and the pink purse that you love costs you nearly
double and you still decide to buy it no matter what, you will end up with
borrowing money from someone else.
- After borrowing money, of course you have to work hard to pay it back.
2. It causes you trouble, struggling more to pay all the bills.
- Your life is nothing more than saving money for all you bought.
- You have to struggle with memorizing every bill in details in order not
to miss single one of them.
3. You cannot have a simple and easy life because what you have to
do every day if working and working in order not to be buried in
debt.


- Do not try to buy an Iphone when you can only afford a Nokia because
you cannot live with your Iphone happily when it has not been
completely paid yet.
- Instead of having a get together with your colleagues after work every
day in a luxurious coffee shop, let do it less regularly to save money for
happy life.
4. Sometimes you should spend before you earn to launch a project.
- I see so may people are success even when at the beginning, they have
no money.
- They loan it from their surrounding people or banks and pay it
afterwards because they have working plan in their mind.

5. Spending money in some emergency situations (hospitalizing of
beloved people,..)
- Even when you have not earned much money yet, and your parents are
in hospital, you still have to spend money so as to save their lives.
- If you think that buying that house now will benefit you in the long run,
just borrow money to buy it first and pay it later. It is called emergency
case.

Topic 4: School violence has been on an increase in Vietnam for the
past few years. What are some reasons that school children are more
aggressive or violent now than they were in the past.


Bạo lực học đường đã và đang phát triển ở Việt Nam trong những năm
qha. Lí do là gì mà học sinh bây giờ lại trở nên hung hăng hơn so với
trước đây.
1. Receive less care from teachers.
- Teachers care about studying more than behaviors.
- Some teachers do not even care about their students. For example, they
do not even remember what their students' names
2. Parents do not educate their kids properly.
- They are too busy with their lives making and dealing with problems.
- They do not make time to sit = sit down and have a serious talk to their
kids.
3. They imitate bad attitudes of their friends.
- They interact with bad people for a long time.
- Their bad friends tell them that they are not hero if they do not bully or
punch other people, especially weak ones.
4. They are exposed under violent environment such as films, songs
with violence content.

- They relax after a stressful studying day by watching violence movies.
- No one knows that, so it happens for a long period of time=> shape their
behaviors.
5. They live in a violent environment.


- They suffer from violence in their family.
- Watching their dad hits their mom everyday will definitely shape bad
attitude in their minds.

Topic 5: Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
Đừng khóc vì nó đã kết thúc, hãy cười vì nó đã xảy ra.
1. It is no use crying for something that ended.
- If you cry because it is a good thing, it won't happen again.
- If you cry because it is a bad thing and why it happens to you but not
anyone else, it still happens to you.
2. You should appreciate for the experience you have had thanks to
these moments.
- If it is happy, feel appreciated for the golden experience you have had.
- If it is sad, feel appreciated for the lesson you have learned.
3. Nothing lasts forever, either it is good or not.
- If you just live with the past, no future comes to you.
- Live for this moment, and smile with everything that has gone.
4. Many more things will come to you.


- You should not hold anything for too long. It happened, so just let it go.
-Some people just want to live in one specific happiness forever after.
Therefore, they miss hundreds of other opportunities.
5. You do not know what will happen tomorrow.

- Do not feel blue or miserable when you are suffering a severe burden
while others are enjoying their happiness because the thing happened the
next day is unforeseen.
- Enjoy what you have and learn from your mistakes.

- Hearing means we accidentally catch sounds, which means we do not really
listen to it => forget easily.
- If we just hear it once, we will find it hard to memorize it (we do not practice,
or listen to it many times).
2. People should know/learn/get to know how to use all of their senses.
- Do not simply use only one or two senses (hearing, seeing, touching, etc..).
- Instead, we should / had better /need to/ ought to use and control all of
them to get the best results.
3. So as to = In order to get something new, it is a good idea to choose how
to learn effectively.


- Some might choose theory only (by hearing or seeing), others go for practice
(by doing).
- For example, when learning a new language, some people spend time on
grammar and vocabularies only, while other people decide to invest = spend
time on practicing = communicating to improve=enhance their ability.
4. People need to be involved in what they want to master = learn =know.

- It is a great method if we can be directly into real situation to feel it and use
it.
- By doing it in person, we will learn quickly and effectively.
5. We ourselves directly get into it means that we can get things clearer.
- We understand step by step => learn carefully.
- It may consume = take a lot of time but I believe that practicing makes
everything perfect.

TOPIC 2: It is possible to have both a successful career and a happy family life
at the same time.
Do you agree or disagree with this point of view.
Con người có thể vừa có cơng việc thành cơng và cuộc sống gia đình hạnh
phúc cùng một lúc được. Bạn đồng ý hay không đồng ý với quan điểm này.

AGREE
1. If you do what you like= want to do, your job becomes = turns to
=turns out to be your happiness, then you can express it = show it to your
children as a prime example.
- For instance = for example, when your children = kids are down = sad=
disappointed, especially in their studies,.. you can show them how to
overcome it.
- When you are happy doing your job, your family can feel it and be
affected positively from your energy.
2. Having a happy family life and successful career is in your hand =
within your reach if you know how to keep balance = how to well adjust
them.


- Use/ Spend time wisely (working from morning to afternoon, being with
family for the rest of the time in a day.)

- In some cases = In urgent situations, you need to prioritize one thing
over the other (for example, while working, your kid is having some
problems with his/her heath, you had better choose to ask permission and
leave work immediately to save your kid.)
2. Do what you love and share it with your beloved = your family
members.
- Instead of making time for your promising job only, you should spend
time sharing it with someone whom you love.
- It is a perfect way = good method to be successful in both workplace
and family life.
3. whether it is possible or not depends on the way you choose.
- Never go against your dream job => then you can be successful in your
career.
- Choose the one you love, someone that can make your day to get
married to => happiness is no longer out of your reach.
5. Live simply, think simply.
- Never push yourself too hard on your career path, because everything
takes time.
- Enjoy every moment in your life with your family, because those small
moments are your true happiness.

TOPIC 3: Music and art should have the same value as other school subjects
such as math and science. Do you agree or disagree with this point of view.

1. There are students who have / hold interest in music and art.
- More and more children fall in love with their music or art talent.
- They want to follow music or art as their official career in the future.
2. These students should be treated equally in terms of subjects.

- They might not good at math or science => feel sad and disappointed.
- If music and art are treated as unnecessary subjects, it will hurt these
students.


3. Math and science make good students, and so do music and art.
- There are bunches of evidences showing that students who bias music and
art can also make money and become good people.
- Moreover, music and art turn normal people into beautiful people (they love
humankind, love every single animal, etc..)
4. Music and art should share the same value => in order to encourage
students to show their ability = their natural talents.
- Some students do not dare to go against their parents to follow their inner
dream => it buries their musical talents.
- They need to be more open to music and art.
5. We all need music and art in life to make our live more interesting and
soft.
- Life is always complicated with numbers and words.
- We thrive for something sweet and soft like art and music to enjoy more.

TOPIC 4: False idolization - regarding somebody as a hero with blind
adoration or devotion - can cause embarrassment or even anger when an
idolized person turns out not to be a real idol. What are some reasons for
false idolization and how to stop it?

- Many people idolize someone just because they are beautiful or handsome.
- What they only care about is their idol's look (they scream out loud

5. Always consider and ask ourselves a question that " Why do we love this

- If they are involved in any social crime, reconsider whether we should

4. It helps in terms of entertainment.
- With smartphones, we can surf the Internet, watch video clips, etc … easily to

- After a stressful day, listening to music using smartphones is a great way to
be less pressure.
5. Its design is convenient.
- Smartphones are portable and light => easy to bring anywhere we want.
- Their functions are various which can support our lives a lot.
