Lightning Protection Modules
P3M – Protector DS3 Modules
ADC’s new P3M protector modules combine lightning protection and DS3 signal monitoring
capabilities in a single, compact chassis. The modules can be placed in an outside plant cabinet
or at a handoff site in a central office and provide primary protection for network equipment.
DSX-3 module has a gas tube protector that protects DS3 signals on center pin of coax
connector from lightning strikes.
Chassis are available for five or ten modules and are made of one quarter-inch solid copper
ground bar, the same ground bar used in central offices. The bar is plated to prevent corrosion.
Protect and non-protect modules can be mixed in the same chassis.
