
Dynamic viscosity

Kinematic viscosity
Units of measurement:
Centipoise (cP)
1 P = 0.1 Pa·s
1 cP = 1 mPa·s
Units of measurement:
Centistokes (cSt)
1 St = 1 cm2·s−1 = 10−4 m2·s−1
1 cSt = 1 mm2·s−1 = 10−6m2·s−1

a fluid.
Viscosity of liquids depend on
flow conditions. Instrument
controls rate of flow is called a
rheometer.
