Instructions
Put your students into groups of four. Tell them they are going to play a betting
game. Their task is to agree within the group upon the correctness of the
sentences and bet between 10 and 100 points. First they should tick right/wrong
box. Then they should agree upon the number of points they are going to bet,
depending on how sure they are of their choice. After all the groups have
completed the game, check out orally.Tell them to write the number of points in
the right box loss/gain. Finally, tell them to calculate the total score. Reward the
best group. Go through the wrong sentences once again giving necessary
explanations. Write the correct version on board.
Note
This worksheet is fully editable. You can choose any grammar or lexical point you
want to revise. The point is to concentrate on the most common mistakes your
students make. Everybody learns from their mistakes. But only you can make it
fun! Try it out! I’m sure your students will enjoy it.
