In my country, there are many amazing festivals, and my all-time favorite one is the MidAutumn Festival. The festival takes place in the 15th of August in Lunar year, when the
brightest full moon in the year appears. At that time, the weather is just about perfect: it
is neither too hot nor too cold, which is well-suited for outdoor activities. These days, adults
usually go shopping for fruits, cakes, candies and flowers, while children gather together to
show off their new toys. At night, as soon as the moon rises, streets are filled with people. They
sing aloud, play games and enjoy the lion dancing. On top of that, there is a super delicious
traditional type of cake in the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is called "mooncakes". Interestingly,
people don’t usually buy mooncakes for themselves, but give them to their relatives as presents.
To sum up, I love the Mid-Autumn Festival very much and always look forward to it.
