III. TEACHERS' NOTE
- It is utterly important for teachers to stress the objectives and rationales at the
beginning of each session.
- The course follows a PPP (Presentation-Practice-Product) approach.
- Writing theories in this book are presented in 2 ways: fully or partially (with blanks
given for students to fill in). For each theory, teachers can choose materials that
suit their teaching style.
- In-class writing activities are mostly group works to increase interaction in the
classroom. Students can produce their works on transparencies and teachers
can show them to the whole class afterwards. Thus, materials for those activities
should be printed on transparencies and handed out to groups.
- As this course is the first time students have ever been introduced to the writing
task II, teachers' correction should always focus on the organization of students'
writings, and their abilities to develop supporting ideas.
