(8) There are a number of measures that should be taken to protect endangered animals from extinction.Firstly ,we should have different activities to raise people’s awareness of the need to protect endangered animals. Secondly, we should hold activities to raise sufficient funds for projects to save endangered animals. Thirdly, The government must have a good policy to improve the life of people who live in or near endangered animals’s habitats and stop illegal trade of endangered animals and their associated products. For example, the government had better encourage people not to use some fashionable wildlife products as well as keep water, air, and land clean to preserve natural habitats for wild animals. Finally, we should provide endangered animals with appropriate habitats to live in and breed successfully. It is believed that once these measures are carried out effectively, endangered animals will be saved from extinction. Part II. In about 140 words, write a paragraph about the way how people should protect and preserve the natural resources Model Conservation concerns men’s safeguarding and preservation of natural resources and his responsibility for improving the environmental conditions in which he lives. An important task of conservation is the prevention of waste – waste of forests, soil, minerals, wildlife and human life. Trees help to preserve land because their roots bind the soil and retain water. Without trees, heavy rains will cause soil erosion. Forest conservation also means the prevention of bush fires and the attention to planting and looking after new, young trees. Not only should man preserve forests but he should also realize the importance of wildlife protection. Unless governments have a good system of control or pass laws restricting the hunting, eradicating of rare animals and plants, they slowly disappear. Natural resources such as coal, gas and mineral ores are limited but the need for them is growing day by day. Therefore, man should use them widely on the one hand, and look for alternative fuels on the other hand.. It is an integral part of almost all water-based activities. In synchronized swimming, the players perform beautiful maneuvers to music and diving. Water polo, on the other hand, is a game where two opposing teams play against each other, attempting to throw a buoyant ball into the opponent’s goal. Underwater activities are less varied, the most popular of which are snorkeling and scuba diving. Snorkeling involves swimming face down just below the water surface while breathing through a slender plastic tube called a snorkel, meanwhile scuba divers carry a big tank of air that allows them to breathe while deep underwater. Aquatic sports have long been acknowledged as excellent ways to take physical exercise. In 1960, Laura Ashley, a housewife with young children, began designing and selling clothes. After some early success, her husband, Bernard, an experienced businessman, joined her and was able to provide considerable help and advice. The business expanded rapidly. Laura had started working at home, and soon there were several "Laura Ashley" shops where women could buy pretty, traditional clothes in a country style, made of natural materials. By the 1980s, the company had developed into a multi-million pound international organization with branches in places as far apart as London, Brussels, San Francisco and Tokyo. Laura Ashley was a woman of simple tastes and strong moral beliefs. She was born in Wales and one of her largest factories producing clothes was situated in the countryside there. Her employees were encouraged to lead healthy lives, enjoy the fresh air and a good diet. Many of the Ashley family were involved in the business, but in 1985 it was decided that the public should be given the opportunity to invest money in the company. Obviously this was a major development and a clear sign of commercial success. But the woman whose ideas had been the basics of the company's development did not live to see it. She fell down the stairs while staying at a friend's house and died in hospital a few days afterwards. She was only sixty-one. 46. (76) Nowadays, computers play an important part of people’s everyday lives. They have improved the way people live. Do you agree or disagree? 5.In about 140 words, write a paragraph about some measures for protecting endangered animals. 6 John, your pen pal, is going to spend his summer vacation in Vietnam. Write a letter to him recommending a significant place you are familiar with.7.In about 140 words, write a paragraph about the way how people should protect and preserve the natural resources Model Conservation concerns men’s safeguarding and preservation of natural resources and his responsibility for improving the environmental conditions in which he lives. The more books we read, the more knowledge we get. Hence, we should encourage our children to read more books. However, books can also be harmful. Bad books contain evil thoughts. In them, there might be much description about violence, superstition, and sex. If children read bad books, the evil thoughts would poison their mind gradually. They will be dispirited and perhaps commit a crime. Good books, on the other hand, teach and help children to do good things. Good books are children’s real companions, and they are both instructive and inspiring. Children know past events from history books, study communication by language book, learn space and numbers through mathematics books. In a word, different kinds of good books can give them a large amount of ideas and knowledge. Consequently, those who read good books can be inspired to grow healthily, while those who read bad books will lead a wicked life and meet with miserable failure.
