Excuse me = Pardon me (Xin lỗi!)
Trouble = Disturb (Làm phiền)

Library = A building in which collections of books, CDs, etc. are kept for people to read, study or
borrow (Thư viện)
Bus station = A large vehicle that travels along a fixed route and stops regularly to let people get on
and off. (Trạm xe buýt)
Miss = Be late (Bỏ sót, bỏ lỡ)
Move = Change position (Di chuyển)
Still = Not finishing (Vẫn)
Certain = Particular (Chắc chắn)
Place = Address (Địa điểm)
Big = Huge (Rất lớn)
Till = Until (Tới khi)

Gotta = Got to, have to (Phải, cần phải)
Run = Fast moving on foot (Chạy)

Slang and Idioms:
No problem = It’s ok, no trouble (Không vấn đề gì)
Hang a left = Turn left (Rẽ trái)

Double check = To be very certain (Kiểm tra cẩn thận)
You got it = You are right (Bạn hiểu rồi đó, bạn đúng rồi)

William - Excuse me, I am sorry to trouble you, but could you tell me how I can get to the train
station? (Thứ lỗi cho tôi, tơi xin lỗi vì làm phiền cơ, nhưng cơ có thể chỉ cho tôi cách tới ga tàu hỏa
được không?)
Kate - Yes no problem, it's that way. Keeping walking straight ahead then after you pass the library
hang a left. Then take your first right and it's across from the bus station. You cannot miss it! (Được,
khơng vấn đề gì, anh đi theo đường kia. Tiếp tục đi thẳng rồi sau khi anh đi qua thư viện thì rẽ trái.
Sau đó rẽ vào ngõ đầu tiên phía bên phải và nó ở bên kia trạm xe buýt. Anh sẽ thấy nó ngay!)
William - Thank you so much! I have only been in California for 2 days, so I'm lost most of the time.

Kate - Got ya. Me and my husband moved here 6 months ago, and I still don't know how to find
certain places! California is so big. (Tôi hiểu. Tôi và chồng tôi chuyển tới đây từ 6 tháng trước, và tôi
vẫn không biết đường đến những nơi tôi muốn. California rộng quá.)
William - So just to double check. Keep walking straight ahead till I pass the library, then I have to turn
left and take the first right. Then it's across the bus station. Is that correct? (Cho tôi kiểm tra lại chút.

Story
William is going to the train station. He isn’t sure how to get there. He meets Kate and asks her for
directions. Kate is happy to help William. She tells him how to get to the train station. Kate tells William
to walk straight ahead, then after he passes the library, hang a left. Kate says the train station’s across
from the bus station. William thanks Kate and says he has only been in California for 2 days. Kate
says she and her husband only have moved to California for 6 months and she still gets lost. William
double – checks the directions. Then, he thanks Kate for giving him directions. He says he has to
leave.
(William đang tới ga tàu. Anh khơng chắc tới đó bằng cách nào. Anh gặp Kate và nhờ cô chỉ đường.
Kate rất vui khi giúp William. Cô chỉ cho anh cách tới ga tàu hỏa. Cô bảo anh đi thẳng rồi sau khi anh

Story
