Vocabulary:
Singer = A person who sings (Ca sĩ)
Female = Of the sex that can lay eggs or give birth to babies (Nữ)
Male = the sex that does not give birth to babies (Nam)
Be supposed to = To be expected to do (Nên)
Pretty = Beautiful (Xinh đẹp)
Ugly = Unpleasant to look at (Xấu xí)
Men = An adult male human (Đàn ơng)
Woman = An adult female human (Phụ nữ)
Neither = Not either (Cũng không)

Mary - That woman is a very good singer. (Cô ca sĩ này hát rất hay.)
Luke - Yes, but she looks like a man. (Đúng, nhưng trông cô ấy như đàn ông ấy.)
Mary - So what? (Thì sao?)
Luke - Female singers are supposed to be pretty. (Nữ ca sĩ nên xinh đẹp thì hơn.)

Story
Mary and Luke are in a club listening to a singer. Mary really likes the singer. She says she is a very
good singer. Luke says she’s a good singer, but she looks like a man. Luke says female singers are
supposed to be pretty and hot. Mary disagrees and she says they are supposed to sound good. Luke
says men singers don’t have to look good. Mary asks Luke if he would buy the singer’s album if she
was pretty. Luke says if she was pretty, he would buy all her albums.
(Mary và Luke đang nghe một ca sĩ hát trong câu lạc bộ. Mary thực sự thích người ca sĩ này. Cơ nói
cơ ấy là một người hát hay. Luke nói cơ ấy là một người hát hay, nhưng trông cô ấy như đàn ơng vậy.

Story
