By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to develop writing skill and write a letter to tell about their neighborhood. II. Language contents. 1/ Grammar:. Review the simple present tense.. 2/ Vocabulary: Revision III/Techniques: Hangman, Asking and answering. IV/Teaching aids: sub – board. Teacher’s and Students’ activities. Contents 1/ Warm up: (7 minutes). - T guides Ss to play a game “Hangman” - Ss listen and play the games. *Hangman Draw strokes on the board. Each stroke stands for a letter of the word. Students take turn to guess the letters of the word. If a student's guess is not right, the teacher draws a stroke (according to the order in the picture). If student guess wrong eight times, they lose. ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ (LETTER) Teacher gives the answer. 2/ Pre – writing (12 minutes) - Review the form of a letter. - Ask Ss to put the outline for an information letter in the correct order T prepares 6 cards with 6 outlines on them - Some other Ss rearrange them in the. 1/ P. 76 1. Heading • Writer’s address • Date 2. Opening 3. Body of the letter 4. Closing.

Dear….., I live in……( a small village, a city). My house……(big, small…). It is a lot of fun. Outside my window is a (small park/ flower garden…). We don’t live far from school, so I can walk there/ go to school by bike. In my neighborhood, there is a (swimming pool/ a lake…). On the weekend I swim with my friends. But the thing I like best in my neighborhood is the library near my school. There I can not only study, read books but also watch video and learn how to use Computer.
