REVISION OF CONDITIONAL SENTENCES
(ÔN TẬP CÂU ĐK)
1- TYPE 1:
- Là câu đk có thật ở HT --> d.tả 1 đk- 1 hệ quả/ kết quả có thể xảy ra ở
HT/ TL.
IF + S + V(HTĐ), S + WILL (CAN/ MAY) + V(infi).
Eg. If it rains, I will stay at home.
I can go shopping with you if I have free time next Sunday.
If John doesn’t come, she will go alone.
Note:
- MĐ “If”: Thay cho “IF” , có thể sd:
+ Unless (nếu không) = If +not
. If John doesn’t come, she will go alone.
= Unless John comes, .....
+ When: (Khi) sd khi mđ chỉ tgian (chắc chắn hơn “If”)
. When I come home, I will turn on the TV first.
+ As long as/ Provided that: (miễn là/ với đk là)
. I will lend you some money as long as you pay it back next week.
+ In case: (Trong trường hợp, phòng khi)
. We will phone you in case you forget our appointment.
2) TYPE 2:
--> Là câu đk k có thất ở HT/ TL
--> d.tả điều ước k thể xảy ra ở HT/ TL/ d.tả 1 đk-kq trái ngược hoàn
toàn thực tế.
IF + S + V(QKĐ), S + WOULD (could/ might) + V(infi).
Eg. . If I had a lot of money, I would travel into space.

--> d.tả sự nuối tiếc/ hối hận về 1 việc đã xảy k như mong đợi trg QK.
IF + S+ HAD P2 (QKHT), S + WOULD(n’t) HAVE P2.
Eg. If I hadn’t sung during the English lesson, I wouldn’t have been
punished by the teacher.
