Prepare for the beginning of the academic year Introduction I. Aims and Objectives. 1. Aims. - To introduce the book and the organization of each unit in the book “Let’s go 2A” - To help them to prepare necessary things for learning English effectively. 2. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to be familiar with the content of “Let’s go 2A” book. II. Teaching aid: Picture, T’s Book, Student’s book, cassette. III. Procedures: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1 .Warm up/ Review: Teacher greets Ss and chat for some minutes after the holiday. *Lead-in: Can you sing the songs in the book “ Let’s go 2A”. Ss greet The teacher and Sing an English song.. 2.New lesson: A. Presentation Introduce the book: -Teacher asks Ss to look at the book and the picture of the cover. - T elicits: + What color is the cover? (Yellow) + Is it nice? Do you like it? (Ss’ answers) + What is the name of the book?( Let’s Go 2A) + How many people are there? (Three) + Who are they? Do you know their name? (Ss’ answers) - T asks Ss to look at the second page, and then introduces the authors of the book. 1: R. Nakata 2: K. Frazier 3: B. Hoskins 4: S. Wilkinson With the songs by Carolyn Graham - T Introduces the place where the book expressed. (Oxford University) - Is it a student book, a workbook or both? (Both) B. Open your book Introduce the organization of a unit.. Listen.. Listen and answer (yellow) ( Ss’ answers).

(There are two) + How many lesson in each unit?( every unit is divided into six lessons) + Which one is the first, second, third….? (Let’s Talk, Let’s Sing, Let’s Learn….) + Do they have the same icon? (No, they don’t. Each lesson is identified by a colorful icon) - T asks to see the next page to look at the icon in each lesson and describe them. - The page without color is the exercises in the workbook that Ss will be able to do in class or at home. C Extension. Let’s Go 2B ( Three) Ss’ answers) Do what the teacher requires. Both. Look at the teacher and listen. How to learn the new subject effectively: -. Asks the students to prepare textbook, workbook and notebook. Copy down. -. Listen to the teacher carefully in the class. -. Learn by heart all the new words at home. Open the textbook, listen and answer and repeat. -. Do exercises after class. -. Encourages the students usually listen to music, watch TV, listen to English songs every time and every where.. V: Homework Learn by heart the icons in the book and remember the information about the book that T provides during the lesson. VI. Aims: Helping Ss to understand what they will learn in the book “Let’s go 2A” and Check Ss’ language for the beginning of the academic year. 2. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to know about the topics they will learn in this academic year. And the task they’ll do in the workbook (published by Vietnamese Education Press). II. Teaching aid: Book III. Procedures: Teacher’s activities 1.Warm up/ Review: - Teacher greets Ss - Calls the roll for attendance. - T asks about the weather, health. *Lead-in: Leads the students to the new lesson by some guiding questions in Vietnamese? 2. New lesson: A. Introduce the syllabus -Teacher ask Ss to open their book p 1--38 - T introduces the whole syllabus in Vietnamese. - T introduces the quantity of the unit? (There are four, From Unit 1- Unit 4) B. Open your book - Teacher introduces the topics that Ss will learn in each unit of the book “Let’s go 2A” Unit 1: Classroom objects, Toy, Animals. Unit 2: Physical states, Professions. Unit 3: Addresses, Telephone numbers, Household objects, Room in a house. Unit 4: Activities, Abilities C. Introducing the Workbook.( ( published by Vietnamese Education Press). D. Extension. Review and production - T asks Ss to stand into a circle and play the game. Beanbag Circle to review the language that they’ve learns in the previous year. - T asks Ss to introduce themselves to each other in. Students’ activities Ss greet the Teacher and reply.
