LESSON 1 - ( PART 4-5-6)

I.AIMS

1. Knowledge: After the lesson, students are able to:
- Ask and answer questions about school events.

Vocabulary: Sports Day, look for, sport day, gym, take part in, Independence Day, 
Children’s day, swim, table tennis, contest, festival.

Sentence patterns: When will…be? – It’ll be on

2. Skills:Develop reading and speaking skill. .

3.Attitude:-In this lesson, studious and obedient students and love their hometown,
family and friends.

II.TEACHING AIDS

1. Teacher’s: English book , lesson plan, pictures, word cards, tape, cassette .

2. Students’: books, notebooks, workbooks.

III.TEACHING METHODS

-Communicative approach.

-Techniques:+ Ask and answer (say individually)
+ Work in pairs/ groups. Discuss

- Ask Ss to read their answers aloud to the class.

Play the recording all the way through for pupils
to do choral repetition of the song line by line.
Have pupils read the lyrics. Check their

comprehension.

clap their hands along to the rhythm

- Ask and answer about what someone is going to do/play on Sports Day.

Vocabulary: only, until, ground, near, against, basketball, badminton.

Sentence patterns: What are you going to do on Sports Day? – I’m going to…

2. Skills: Develop speaking and listening skills

3.Attitude:-In this lesson, studious and obedient students and love their hometown,
family and friends.

II.TEACHING AIDS

- Play the tape once to reinforce their
pronunciation
