<b>Set the scene:</b>
- T. asks Ss some questions about Ba’s trip to his
home village.
-Pay attention and answer the questions
T. gives any explanation if necessary.
- T sticks the picture (P.25) on the board and writes
Ss’ prediction on the board.
-Ss repeat the words (1 - 9).
- Ss read the words again and guess the places on
the map

- Now we are listening to the text about Ba’s trip to
his home village and match the places on the bus
route with the letters on the map.

Ask ss to listen and check
Ss listen to the tape and check their prediction.

from Ss if necessary

<i>At 6.30 in the morning, the bus collected Ba and his</i>
<i>family from their home. After picking everyone up, </i>
<i>the bus continued north on Highway Number 1. It </i>
<i>crossed the DragonBridge and stopped at the gas </i>
<i>station to get some more fuel. Then, it left the </i>
<i>highway and turned left onto a smaller road </i>
<i>westward. This road ran between green paddy </i>
<i>fields, so the people on the bus could see a lot cows </i>
<i>and buffaloes. The road ended before a big store </i>
<i>beside a pond. Instead of turning left towards a </i>
