Ex: She used to play skipping rope when she was young.

 To be used to/ to get used to/ to be accustomed to + V-ing : Quen với
Ex: He is used togetting up early.

VI. TAG Questions

Là phần thêm vào sau mệnh đề chính (,) nhằm xác nhận ý nghĩa của mệnh đề chính đứng trước nó.
- Nếu mệnh đề chính khẳng định thì câu hỏi đi phủ định và ngược lại.

- Mệnh đề chính ở thì gì, câu hỏi đi ở thì đó.
- Câu hỏi đuôi phải đại từ làm chủ ngữ.

* Trường hợp ngoại lệ:
1. Câu mệnh lệnh → will you?

2. Let's → shall we?
3. I am → aren't I

4. Someone, somebody, everyone, everybody, ( đại từ THEY- phủ định )

Whose (Relative pronoun) : thay thế cho đại từ sở hữu (my, her, his,its, our, their, your, ’s)

Eg. I saw a woman. Her car has broken down.
→ I saw a woman whose car has broken down.

Whom

( Relative pronoun) : thay thế cho danh từ chỉ người đứng trước nó, là một tân ngữ
trong mệnh đề phụ, nhằm liên kết hai mệnh đề của một câu.
Eg. The girl is my friend. I visited her yesterday.

→The girl whom I visited yesterday is my friend.

Where / When

( Relative adverbs) : thay thế cho trạng từ chỉ thời gian / nơi chốn đứng trước nó,
nhằm liên kết hai mệnh đề của một câu.

Defining clause / Non-defining clause: Mệnh đề hạn định và mệnh đề

không hạn định.
