IV. Procedures:
1. Warm-up:
- Do you like to learn English?
- How long have you learn English?
- Are you good at listening/ speaking?
- Which skills are you good at?
- What can you do to improve your listening/ speaking?
2. Pre-listening:
a. Pre-teach:
Review some words
Such as: Improve, national bank
<b>- </b>national bank (n): ngân hàng nhà nước
- international bank (n) : ngân hàng quốc tế
T calls some Ss speak some English words, Ss slap Vietnamese words.
b. Open-prediction: Set the scene listening about Kate.
<i>Nga is talking to Kate about her studying English.</i>
<i>Predict which sentences are true and which sentences are false?</i>
- Let them guess (T/ F)
1. Nga’s studying English for her work.
2. She is learned English at school and university .
3. She works for a national bank in Hanoi.
4. She needs to improve her writing.
5. Her listening is excellent.
6. She hopes she can talk to people from all over the world, and understand
her favorite English songs
- The leader of each group writes result on the poster.
- T gets feedback from Ss and hang all the posters on the board
3. While-listening:
- T has Ss listen to the tape once then ask them to check the content.
- After the second listening, Ss compare the result with one's friends
