I. Aims
Help Ss know the form and developing of students’ knowledge about English.
Help Ss know how to learn English.
II. Contents of instruction
First, teacher introduces the program of teaching English and how to study English in
class at home
1. English for Viet Nam grade 6: Consists of 16 units, they were written base on topic of
living and student’s age. It is easy to help Ss practicing
Each unit consists of three sections A, B or C.
Each section is studied 1 or 2 periods 45 minutes
2. The way learning English: How do you study English well?
Teacher helps Ss know learning English at school and at home
a. At school: Teacher leads you study English, especially focusing skills: Listening,
speaking, reading and writing
Ex : Teacher says: “ Hello”
Students listen and repeat chorally – individually
Teacher writes “Hello” on the board, asks Ss to give meaning. Then teacher checks
the stress and the form word
Students: copy down  Practice
b. At home: Student must study English alone or with your friends. Especially, revision is
very important
Ex: Student read “Hello” and write this word (5 times) or sentences
- Now we study English well, you will have abilities practicing with everybody
- So if students study hard, they’ll have good knowledge.
