<b>-</b> Point to the cat and the parrot.


<b>-</b> Ask the students to say which animal the
octopus has for the queen.


<b>-</b> Ask them to colour that animal.
<b>-</b> Ss colour the parrot picture
<b>Activity 3: Act Out (2 mins) </b>


<b>-</b> Read the sentences in the story, pause at the
key words.


<b>-</b> <i>Invite the students to mime them (the queen, </i>
<i>the octopus, the parrot, the question mark, the </i>
<i>nut, the nest).</i>


<b>-</b> Have the students come to the front of the
classroom and act out the story.


<b>-</b> Encourage them to have fun as they perform.
<b>Activity 4: Correct teacher (3 mins) </b>


<b>-</b> Point to an item in the story.


<b>-</b> Ask individual student to correct teacher’s
statements.
