<b>I.Aims.</b>
<b>1/Knowledge.</b>
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to read and say the three Ff words
correctly
-Recognize and say an extra Ff word correctly
- Sing letter Ff song
<b>Vocabulary</b>

-My, funny, and, are, with
<b>2. Skill: Listening, writing , speaking and reading.</b>
<b>3. Attitude.</b>
- Educate Ss to be friendly with friends.
- Students love animals and tree with the letter g
- S:Le Ngoc Linh know the letter G.

<b>T: teachers’ book, , CD, phonics cards ,paper including the lyrics of the chant </b>

<b>* Acivity 2 (Track 38) (8mins)</b>
- Ask the students to point to the picture of
the word that the teacher says
- Ss: listen and repaeat.
- Ss: work individually and pairs.
- Play the CD. Have the students listen to
the story once
- Play the CD again. The students listen and
point to the pictures of the key words
when they hear them in the story
- Read the story. The students follow their
books.
- Teacher reads the printed words then let
the students point to the pictures and say
the words.
- Ask students work in pairs. One reads the
printed words while the other points to the
pictures and says the words.
- Work in pairs.
<b>Activity 3: Say the Sight Words (3mins)</b>
- Point to and say the sight words: my,
funny, and, are, with
- Have students repeat
- Ss: listen and repeat.
- Work individually.
- Call on some students read them aloud and
correct pronunciation (if any)

- Place phonics cards of glass, goat and

- Follow the same procedure and present the
rest of the song
- Play the CD. The students listen and sing
along.
- Play the CD again. The students sing and
do corresponding actions.

<b>Activity 6: Letter Writing Race (3mins)</b>
- Ask the students to open their notebooks
- In 2 minutes, the students write as many,
<i>e.g. Gg as they can</i>
- The winner is the student who has written
the most

- T asks whole class to read the letter aloud.

-Point to another student. He/She repeats the previous word, then says the next word
in the sequence.
-Continue with each student saying the next word in the sequence

-Show the students the gorilla phonics card.
Point to it and say: /g/ - gorilla. Ask them to
repeat.
- Ss: look at the picture listen and repeat.
- Ss: work individually.
-Perform the actions like a gorilla and say
<i>/g/, gorilla. </i>
-Encourage the students to do the same
-Say the letter and ask students do the action
-Play the CD
-Ask students listen, point to and repeat the
word

-Ask the students to take out their
notebooks.
-Ask them to choose one word the draw the
letter and the picture in their notebooks.
-Tell them to colour the letter and the
picture.
- Ss: work individually.
-The three first students who finish will
show their picture to the class.
OR
<b>Activity 5: Whispers (3’)</b>
-Line up the students into 2 team of 6
- Ss: work in groups.
-This student whispers the word to another
behind him/her
-The student continues whispering the word
until the final student
-The team which will win has the final
student says the word same to the phonics
card
<b>4.Consolidation: (3’)</b>
- T asks whole class to read the letter aloud.
