<b>A/ Lý thuyết:</b>

<i>I/ Reported Speech: Statement (Câu tường thuật/Câu gián tiếp)</i>
Là lời tường thuật lại ý của người nói.

a/ Cách dùng PP.TTh (phuong pháp tường thuật)

Lưu ý 3 bước cần thay đổi khi chuyển sang Câu tường thuật (Học thuộc)
Bước 1. Thay đổi Cách xưng hơ.

Bước 2. Thay đổi Thì (Lùi Thì):

Bước 3. Thay đổi Từ phải đổi:

b/ Công thức:

S + said (to S.O) (that) + PP.TTh
S + told (S.O) (that) + PP.Th
Ex: 1. “I am doing my homework now”

 John said He was doing his homework then.
 Áp dụng 3 điều cần thay đổi để làm ví dụ trên:

Bước 1: thay đổi cách xưng hơ vì “John” là nam nên sẽ dùng chủ ngữ là “he”

2. “I will talk to Miss Green tomorrow”

 Rose said (that) she would talk to Miss Green the following day.

3. “I sold my bike yesterday”

 Tom told (that) he had sold his bike the day before.

<i>II/ Conditional Sentence: Type 1 & 2 (Câu điều kiện loại IF loại1 & 2)</i>


IF1: Câu điều kiện loại 1

Diễn tả hành động hoặc sự viêc có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tuong lai.
a/

Mệnh đề diều kiện Mệnh đề chính
If + S + V1/(s/es),

If + S + don’t/doesn’t + V1,

S + will/can/may + V1
S + will/ can/ may + not + v1
IF + thì HT.Đơn Thì tương lai đơn

*Example:

1. If I have much money, I will buy a house.

(Nếu tơi có nhiều tiền, thì tơi sẽ mua 1 ngơi nhà – Điều kiện có thể xảy ra)
2. If I am free, I can go shopping.

(Nếu tôi rảnh, thì tơi có thể đi mua sắm – Điều kiện có thể xảy ra)
3. He will fail the exam if he doesn’t study hard.

(Anh ấy sẽ rớt kì thi nếu anh ấy không học hành chăm chỉ - Điều kiện có thể xảy ra trong tương lai)
b/ Unless = If not (Nếu không)

*Example:

1. If she doesn’t do homework, the teacher will be very angry.

 Unless she does homework, the teacher will be angry

(nếu cô ấy không làm bài tập về nhà, thì giáo viên sẽ rất tức giận)

 Vì Unless = If not nên khi viết lại câu dưới thì bỏ trợ động từ doesn’t ở câu trên và viết lại hết.

2. If you don’t study hard, you will fail the exam

 Unless you study hard, you will fail the exam.

c/ Note:

*Example: (Áp dụng công thức trên viết lại không thay đổi nghĩa của câu)
Mệnh đề + or + clause  If you don’t V1, clause (S+V+O)

2. Study hard or you will fail

 If you don’t study hard, you will fail.

IF2: Câu điều kiện loại 2:

Diễn tả một hành động hoặc sự việc không thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai.

Mệnh đề điều kiện Mệnh đề chính

Note: trong câu If loại 2 “were” được dùng cho tất cả các ngôi chủ từ.
Example:

1/ He doesn’t have enough time. He can’t finish the test. (thì Hiện Tại Đơn)
(Anh ấy khơng có đủ thời gian. Anh ấy khơng thể hoàn thành bài kiểm tra)

 If he had enough time, he could finish the test. (thì Quá Khứ Đơn)

(Nếu anh ấy có đủ thời gian, thì anh ấy có thể hoàn thành bài kiểm tra – Trái ngược với hiện tại)
2/ I am not a bird. I can’t fly everywhere. (Tôi không phải là chim.Tôi không thể bay được mọi nơi)

 If I were a bird, I could fly everywhere. (Nếu tơi là chim, tơi có thể bay được mọi nơi)
 Thực tế “tôi” không thể là con chim được
