Sing the song “My favourite food and drink”


<b>II. NEW LESSON</b>


<b>1. Look, listen and repeat</b>


- Ask pupils the names of the characters and where they are: Linda, Mai and her
mother.


- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen


- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles.
- Repeat the step a few times.


- Some Ss role play and the others comment.
- Ask Ss to role play.


- Ask Ss to role play before the class.


- Explain the meaning of the language practised.

- Ask Sts to look at the pictures given.


- Play CD for sts listen and repeat all the names of food and drink given
- Read the words and have pupils read in chorus, individuals.

class observe and give comments if possible.

- Get sts the names of food and drink in 4 pictures


- Let them guess order
- Give feedback


- Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and


number the jobs and places they hear to the pictures.


- Play the recording twice for pupils to listen and number.
- Check their guess. Compare the answer with the partner.
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers.

- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.

- Have pupils look at the poster with the content of part 1 (sts’ book – Page 22)
- Tell them they are going to learn how to pronoun the sound /f/ and
<b>/sh/ with different words.</b>


- Produce the sound /f/ in <i>beef</i>, <i>leaf</i>, sound /sh/ in <i>fish</i><b> and </b><i>dish</i><b> a few times.</b>
Ask pupils to say what they think about when they hear the sound.


- Play the recording again for the whole class to repeat each line in the speech
bubbles to reinforce their pronunciation.


- Give the notes how to pronoun /f/ and /sh/ in different words
<b>2. Listen and tick. Then write and say aloud</b>



<b>- Have pupils look and read the uncompleted sentences given.</b>


- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 4 sentences and tick the words
they hear to fill in the gaps.


- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and repeat.

syllables.


- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat each line of the chant and clap the
syllables.


- Call on some pupils to perform the chant at the front of the class. The rest of
the class observe and give comments if possible.
