Last Wednesday Sally’s Mum and Dad were watching news on TV. Sally wanted to watch a
programme about animals in the jungle, but her parents said that the news was more
important. Sally was sad. ‘We don’t know any of these people on the news,’ she thought. ‘It’s
would be more interesting to find out what’s happening to the other people in the flats’.
Sally went downstairs to the flat where her friend Mary lived. ‘ Mary,’ she said ‘Let’s use
your video camera and make our own news programme!’ Together, the girls went round the
flats, asking people what they were doing. The artist on the fifth floor was painting a picture of
a beautiful beach. The mechanic who lived next to Mary bought a new car.
The girls made a great programme. Mary make a video for Sally and one for her, and that
night Sally went home and put video in the player. Sally was thinking about it during dinner.
