<span class='text_page_counter'>(1)</span>Subject - verb agreement ( Sự hòa hợp giữa chủ ngữ và động từ ) ------------&----------- Theo nguyªn t¾c chung: chñ tõ sè Ýt ®i víi ®.tõ chia sè Ýt/ chñ tõ sè nhiÒu ®i với động từ chia số nhiều. - Tuy nhiên, đôi khi chủ từ hoà hợp với động từ tuỳ theo ý tưởng hoặc tuỳ theo danh từ, đại từ đứng trước. Do đó chúng ta phải chú ý đến những quy tắc sau : Rules Subject 1. a/ the majority of…. a number of…. a lot of… plenty of…. all(of)… some(of)…. Verb + DTsè Ýt + V ( chia sè Ýt) + DT sè nhiÒu + V( chia sè nhiÒu). * Note : the number of…+ V(chia sè Ýt). 2.. Some.. Any.. Each .. Every… Neither.. Either…. Someone, somebody, everyone, everybody, no one, nobody, nothing. * Note: any of, each of, either of, neither of, none of +DTsè nhiÒu + V(chia sè Ýt / sè nhiÒu). Eg: -A number of the students were absent yesterday. -All the furniture was distroyed in the fire.. + V(chia sè Ýt). Eg: -Every student has English books. - Neither of the students work/works hard.. 3. with as well as. S1 +. together with + S2 along with. Neither 4.. + V(chia theo S1). Either Not only. Eg: -He as well as I is good at English. - I together with my sister work for BBC.. nor + S1. or + but also. S2.
