Aim: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to develop such listening micro-skills as intensive listening for specific information and taking notes while listening. 2. Knowledge: - Vocabulary: apartment building, guitarist, sense of humour, motorbike, around, favourite. - Grammar/ Structures: - (Pronunciation): 3. Skills: Listening II. PREPARATION: 1. Teacher: textbook, workbook, tests, chalks. 2. Students: textbooks, workbooks, notebooks, pens. III. PROCEDURE: 1. Warm-up: Matching Ask the Ss to look at the words in column A and phrases in column B, then match them together. A. B. While-listening 1. Task 1: T / F - Ask students to go through the statements - Elicit the key words so that they focus on listening. - Have them listen to the tape twice - Ask Ss to write the answers on the board. - Ask other students to remark and correct. - Give feedback. Pair work - Listen to the tapes. Decide if the sentences are T or F. - Tell the answers in front of the class Expected answers * Lan’s talk: 1. F ( They used to live in the same building there.) 2.
