Lesson 2

Objectives:

- To learn comparatives and superlatives with long adjectives.
( học về so sánh hơn và so sánh nhất với tính từ dài)

- To learn irregular comparatives and superlatives.

( học về sánh hơn và so sánh nhất của tính từ bất quy tắc)
Content:

( Nội dung của bài học hôm nay chúng ta sẽ học về cách so sánh giữa cái này với cái
kia.)

- Các em mở sách trang 59 (hoặc nhìn vào hình bên dưới), phần 2: listen and
repeat.

Giải thích:

Nhắc lại:

- Tính từ ngắn : tính từ có 1 âm tiết: old, hot, big…..
- Tính từ dài: tính từ có 2 âm tiết trở lên: tired, careful, wonderful,….
1. Comparatives with long adjectives ( so sánh hơn với tính từ dài)
 sử dụng …. + MORE/LESS + LONG ADJECTIVE + THAN……
Ví dụ: My bed is more comfortable than this one.

It’s less expensive than a new bed.

Chuyển “Y”  “I” rồi thêm “ER”

 sử dụng ….. long Adjective + “ER” + than ….
Ví dụ: Leo is noisier than Jack.

Jack is happier than Amy.

2. Superlatives with long adjectives ( so sánh nhất với tính từ dài)

 sử dụng …. + THE + MOST/LEAST + LONG ADJECTIVE + NOUN + ….
Ví dụ: This is the most expensive bed in the store.

This is the least expensive one.

***Tính từ có 2 âm tiết tận cùng là “Y”: happy, easy, lovely,…
Chuyển “Y”  “I” rồi thêm “EST”

 sử dụng ….. the + long Adjective + “EST” + Noun ….
Ví dụ: This is the heaviest table in my class.

3. Irregular Adjectives ( tính từ bất quy tắc)

Adjective Comparative Superlative

Good better the best

Bad worse the worst

Nhìn vào bảng ta thấy:

Tốt là good , tốt hơn là better, còn tốt nhất là the best.
Tệ là bad, tệ hơn là worse, còn tệ nhất là the worst.

Practice:

Bây giờ, chúng ta thực hành một chút nhé.
