<b>I.Objectives: </b>by the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to:
- Talk about occupations.
- Get some information about occupations by listening.
<b>II.Language contents:</b>
- Grammar: Simple present tense
- Vocabulary: (v) take care of, teach, (adj) sick (n) primary
school, elder brother, journalist, high school, magazine
<b>III.Techniques: </b>Picture cues, pair -work, group- work, extra exercise.
<b>IV.Teaching aids: </b>a cassette, a tape, pictures, sub-board.

<b>1. Warm up :</b>
- Brainstorming: write down the verbs relating to
jobs.
<b>2. Presentation + Practice:</b>
<b>+Activity 1: B2. Read</b>
- Have Ss look at the pictures and guess the jobs
of these people.
- Tell students about Lan’s family: Lan’s father,
Lan’s mother and her brother.
- Have students read the passage.
- Ask students about each person’s job and place
of work, and what he / she does in his / her job.
- Ask some questions about Lan’s family and let
them answer.
- Have them practice asking and answering in
pairs.
- Have them copy the passage and write down
the answers.
- Have Ss talk about their families.

- Explain how the task will be done.
- Let students read the form.
- Ask students some questions that are
concerning to A4 such as “<i>What’s your name</i>?”
“<i>What’s</i> <i>your age? = How old are you?”</i>

- Ask them to listen to the cassette and fill in the
