A. Warm up and Review (5’): Guessing

- Divide class into 2 teams

- Call Ss to go to bb and whisper one target
vocabulary then let him/her to draw a picture
about this

- Ask the members of 2 teams to guess

- Which team has the most points is the winner
- Listen and check their answer

B. New lesson:

1. Look, listen and repeat(20’):
a. Presentation:

- T uses 2 puppets to introduce the dialogue.
- Have pupils turn their books to Page 52.

-Ask pupils the names of the characters and what
they say.

-Play the recording all the way through for pupils
to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their
books.

b. Practice:

* Activity : Step away Lines

- T asks Ss to step into 2 lines and practice the
dialogue.

- T monitors.

2. Point and say( 10’)

1. Look, listen and repeat
Good evening and welcome to
the weather forecast. Let’s take a
look at the weather today.

It’s cold and cloudy in Ha Noi. 
It’s cool and windy in Hue. It’s 
hot and sunny in Ho Chi Minh.
What the weather be like
tomorrow?

Well, it will be cold and rainy in
Ha Noi. It will be warm and 
foggy in Hue. In Ho Chi Minh 
city, it will be hot and sunny. 
That’s the weather forecast for
tomorrow.

a. Set the scene:

- Explain the meaning of the language practiced:

- Ask Ss to find out the structure:

-Ask pupils about what they fill in the blank.
-Tell them what they are going to talk about

-Have pupils point and repeat the phrases a few
times.

- Have pupils look at Pictures a, b, c, d.

-Ask them to identify the characters in the
pictures. Use flashcards to teach the greetings in
the speech bubbles.

-Have pupils repeat the phrases a few times.

- Ask Ss to pretend the characters in the picture

and make a dialogue

-Have the class repeat all the phrases in this
section.

b. Production

* Activity: Role play

- Ask Ss to use the suggestion words to make their
own dialogue

- Call some pairs to act out before class

- Listen and correct their mistakes and
pronunciation

- Retell the content of the lesson.
3. Let’s talk(10’)

-Run through the requirement and shows the
missing sentences

- Set the scene and then model an example
- Ask Ss to follow and make small dialogues
