<b> Cách nhận biết tính từ dài</b>

Tính từ dài là tính từ có hai âm tiết và khơng kết thúc bằng đi

<i>–y</i>

.

Ví dụ:

famous

<i>(nổi tiếng)</i>

peaceful

<i>(yên bình)</i>

awful

<i>(tồi tệ)</i>

Tất cả các tính từ có từ 3 âm tiết trở lên đều là tính từ dài.

Ví dụ:

beautiful

<i>(đắt đỏ)</i>

<b>2</b>

<b> Cách hình thành dạng so sánh nhất của tính từ dài</b>

Để chuyển một tính từ dài sang dạng so sánh nhất, ta chỉ cần thêm cụm từ "the most"

vào trước tính từ dài đó.

Ví dụ:

famous => the most famous

She was the most famous singer in the USA last year.

<i>tiếng nhất nước Mĩ vào năm ngối.)</i>

Ví dụ:

beautiful => the most beautiful

This is the most beautiful city that I have ever visited.

<i>tôi từng ghé thăm.)</i>

Trong tiếng Anh có một số tính từ dài mà khi chuyển sang dạng so sánh nhất ta có hai

cách.

- Cách thứ nhất là ta thêm đi

<i>–est</i>

vào sau tính từ đó giống như quy tắc đối với tính

từ ngắn.

- Cách thứ hai ta thêm cụm "the most" vào trước tính từ đó giống như quy tắc đối với

tính từ dài ta vừa học ở trên.

Một số tính từ có dạng này là:

pleasant => the pleasantest/ the most pleasant

common => the commonest/ the most common

Ví dụ 1:

He is the cleverest character in this story.

He is the most clever character in this story.

Ta thấy "peaceful" là tính từ dài nên khi chuyển sang dạng so sánh nhất ta thêm "the most" vào trước tính từ
đó. Vậy nên đáp án là A.

Câu có nghĩa là: "Q tơi là vùng q n bình nhất Phú Thọ."

Ta thấy "friendly" có 2 dạng so sánh nhất là "the friendliest" và "the most friendly", còn dạng so sánh nhất của

Câu có nghĩa là: "Người dân ở đây là những người thân thiện và hiếu khách nhất mà tôi đã từng gặp."

B đều áp dụng đúng cấu trúc của so sánh nhất. Tuy nhiên theo sau danh từ số ít ta sử dụng động từ "is". Do đó lựa
chọn A đúng.

Khi đó ta được câu có nghĩa là: <i>Chiếc váy này là chiếc váy đắt nhất trong cửa hàng quần áo.</i>

Ta thấy câu này có hai đối tượng so sánh và có từ "than" nên nó là câu so sánh hơn. "intelligent" là tính từ dài nên
khi chuyển sang dạng so sánh hơn ta thêm "more" vào trước tính từ.

Khi đó ta được câu có nghĩa là: <i>Cơ ấy thơng minh hơn em gái của cô ấy.</i>

"boring" là tính từ dài nên khi chuyển sang dạng so sánh nhất ta thêm "the most" vào trước tính từ.
Khi đó ta được câu có nghĩa là: <i>Đây là bộ phim chán nhất mà tôi đã từng xem.</i>

<b>4.</b>

The Amazon forest is one of (dangerous) the most dangerous places in the world.

Câu muốn so sánh độ nguy hiểm của rừng Amazon và các nơi khác trên thế giới nên ta sử dụng dạng so sánh
nhất. "dangerous" là tính từ dài nên khi chuyển sang dạng so sánh nhất ta thêm "the most" vào trước tính từ.
Khi đó ta được câu có nghĩa là: <i>Rừng Amazon là một trong những nơi nguy hiểm nhất trên thế giới.</i>

<b>5.</b>

"War and Peace" is (unforgettable) the most unforgettable novel that I have ever read.

Câu muốn so sánh cuốn tiểu thuyết "Chiến tranh và Hịa bình" với các cuốn tiểu thuyết khác mà tôi đã từng đọc
nên ta sử dụng dạng so sánh nhất. "unforgettable" là tính từ dài nên khi chuyển sang dạng so sánh nhất ta thêm

"the most" vào trước tính từ.

Khi đó ta được câu có nghĩa là: <i>Chiến tranh và hịa bình là cuốn tiểu thuyết đáng nhớ nhất mà tôi đã từng đọc.</i>

<b>6.</b>

This is (narrow) the narrowest/ the most narrow road in my village.

Câu muốn so sánh độ hẹp của một con đường với các con đường khác trong làng nên ta sử dụng dạng so sánh
nhất. "narrow" là tính từ đặc biệt có 2 dạng so sánh nhất là "the narrowest" hoặc "the most narrow".
Khi đó ta được câu có nghĩa là: <i>Đây là con đường hẹp nhất trong làng tơi.</i>
