<b>WEEK 19 – PERIOD 37</b>
<b>UNIT 6: MY FARM</b>
<b>Lesson 1</b>
<b>I. Objectives</b>
- By the end of this unit, pupils can identify farm animals and things found outdoor.
- Pupils can recognize English sounds and spoken words.
<b>II. Procedures</b>
<b>*Warm up: Tell pupils to look at picture on pages 34 and 35 and ask the following </b>
questions in the pupils’ own language: Who are the children? Where are they?
<b>A. Presentation</b>
<i><b>1. Teaching vocabulary</b></i>
<b>Step 1: Teacher teaches vocabulary: butterfly, donkey, duck, field, flower, goat and </b>
sun.
<b>Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words.</b>
<b>Step 3: Pupils copy down into their notebooks and repeat after the teacher. </b>
<b>Step 4: Ask a few pupils to read aloud.</b>
<b>B. Practice</b>
<i><b>2. Listen and say</b></i>
<b>Step 1: Tell pupils that they are going to learn the words for some animals on the </b>
farm and some outdoor things.
<b>Step 2: Play CD. Pause after each name so pupils can point to the character in their </b>
books.
<b>Step 3: Play CD again. Pupils repeat the names chorally and individually.</b>
<b>C. Production</b>
<b>Step 1: Say the characters’ name at random, eg. butterfly, donkey, duck, field, flower,</b>
goat and sun.
<b>Step 2: Check pupils are pointing to the correct things in their books.</b>
<b>Step 3: Play CD and pause after each name. Pupils listen and point to the animal or </b>
thing in their books.
<b>D. Application</b>
- Review the vocabulary.
<b>WEEK 19 – PERIOD 38</b>
<b>UNIT 6: MY FARM</b>
<b>Lesson 2</b>
<b>I. Objectives</b>
- By the end of this unit, pupils can ask and answer yes/ no questions about basic
characteristics.
- Pupils can develop fine motor control.
<b>II. Procedures</b>
<b>*Warm up: Play a game</b>
<b>A. Presentation</b>
<i><b>1. Teaching structure</b></i>
<b>Step 1: Teach structure: Is it ….? Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.</b>
<b>Step 2: Write them on the board and read aloud the words. </b>
<b>Step 3: Pupils copy down into their notebooks and repeat after the teacher. </b>
<b>Step 4: Ask a few pupils to read aloud.</b>
<b>B. Practice</b>
<i><b>2. Listen and say</b></i>
<b>Step 1: Tell pupils to look at the picture on pages 34 and 35.</b>
