Global warming is one of the biggest issues facing humans nowadays. It is believed that humans are mainly
responsible for this. It is having catastrophic effects on people and nature. Therefore, humans have to take
immediate actions to reduce the risks of global warming. This essay will discuss the causes ans effects, and
possible solutions to the problem.
Global warming is the rise in the average temperature of the earth due to the increase of greenhouse gases in
the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from the burning offossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural
gases have led to the emissions of a large amount of harmful gases into the atmosphere. Another reason for
the temperature rise is deforestation, which is the cutting down of forests for farmland, wood and paper.
Increasing use of chemical fertilizers on croplands also contributes to global warming.
Global warming has a number of disatrous consequences on human beings and nature. It causes heatrelated illnesses and death, and rapid spread of infectious diseases. It also results in cliamte change and
catastrophic weather patterns such as heat waves, floods, droughts and storms, which can serverely affect
human lives. In addition, it leads to the melting of polar ice caps and rising of sea levels, which might
cause people to lose their homes. Besides, it can also cause widespread extinction of species.
As the effects of global warming are extremely damaging, humans have to take drastic measures to
minimize the risks involvedl for example, reducing energy use, planting trees or using green methods of
transportation.
In conclusion, global warming has been a burning issue that needs to be dealt with immediately. Humans
are main cause; therefore, everyone needs to be well-informed about the problem and joins hands to lessen
its negative impacts.
