Thinking of volunteering?
According to the recent survey, 40% of young people aged 16 to 25, who live in Britain, have done
voluntary work. Young people often volunteer in places where they work with younger children such as on
holiday camps. Wanting to meet other people and experience new things are the main reasons that they give
for volunteering. However, they also say they want to help whose lives are more difficult than their own, More
and more young people are volunteering abroad too. They often go to the countries where there have been
disasters.
Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) which is an international development charity, always needs
volunteers. The organization allows people, who are aged between 17 to 70, to share their skills and
experiences.
