INTRODUCTION
In the face of the trend of integration and globalization, English is considered
the most popular language in the world when nearly 60 countries use English as the
main language and nearly 60 countries use English as the second language.
Therefore, English plays a very important role in the current period of integration.
Businesses in Vietnam and South Asia are gradually expanding cooperative
relationships with foreign businesses. English becomes effective tools that play a
great role in promoting the cooperation and understanding of Vietnamese
enterprises with partners in the period of international integration and bringing
Vietnamese brands abroad.
After 4 years of studying and practicing as a student of the Faculty of English
at Thuong Mai University, I feel really honored and grateful to the teachers in the
English Department for imparting specialized knowledge about economic and
commerce through lectures and they always facilitate to help me improve my
English skills. After completing the program at the school with the introduction of
an acquaintance, I become intern in the Planning Department of Tinh Loi Garment
Company Limited. With direct guidance and enthusiastic support from my advisor
as well as the company employees, I have been given a lot of suggestions and


orientation about their future career.
Although there are many shortcoming in the process of internship and writing
this reports but I have made the internship report with all enthusiasm and
seriousness so I hope teachers comment and give suggestions for you.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to the help and guidance of the
teachers of Faculty of English who helped me so much to have the most complete
report.

1.1.2. The development of Vinacoma
- Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited is a member of Crystal Hong Kong
Group with 02 factories operating in Hai Duong Province, Vietnam.

- 2003: Establish Factory 1 (TL1) at Nam Sach Industrial Park, Ai Quoc
Ward, Hai Duong City in March 2003 and officially put into operation in June 2006.
Total investment capital is 64,000,000 USD; Up to now, there are over 5,000
employees.
- 2004: Establish Factory 2 (TL2) at Lai Vu Industrial Park, Lai Vu
Commune, Kim Thanh District. Received the investment certificate in April 2013
and started operating in August 2014 with 2,500 employees initially, an increase of
nearly 10,000 employees by the end of 2016 and 16,900 employees by 2022. Total
investment capital: 124,000. 000 USD. With the scale of 170,000,000 products /
year.
- 2016: In 2016, Crystal Hong Kong Group was ranked 17 out of 50
companies in Fortune magazine's "Change the World" list, which recognized as
companies that have important influences about social and environment by making
profit strategy and business activities.
- 2018- now: Tinh Loi is currently the largest textile factory in Hai Duong
Province and the northern region of Vietnam.

Being the leading company in exporting textile products, meeting all the needs
of European, Asian, Japanese and global, Tinh Loi always set the specific goals

- Senior Vice President: Richard Chin– The legal representative of Tinh Loi,
running all business activities, establishing strategies, system of norms, working
regulations, remuneration, economic contracts and capital use.
- Import- Export Department: Summary the demands of Sales Department to
carry out international purchasing acitivities, seek suppliers, expand markets,
implement stages of purchasing process, quickly bringing product into domestic
market, keep in touch with long-term suppliers and look for new potential others.
- Document Department: Coordinate with Import Department to make
business contracts with suppliers, supply all necessary documents for Finance,


Accounting Department to perform the payment, registration with Customs, follow
process to import machines.
- Sales Department: Searching and developing customers who have demands
for domestic transportation, international shipping, customs clearance, ...

Transactions, offers and quotes for customers, looking after old customers and
finding new customers
- Marketing Department: Carry out marketing activities, offer machines and
construction equipment on company websites and e-commerce websites.
- Planning Department: Planning production for month, quarter and year,
managing, monitoring the implementation of project plans, ensuring productivity
indicators consistent with the market. Evaluating and analyzing the market situation
of the company's products and business services and forecasts about upcoming
plans, coordinating with other departments to well implement plans and objectives

1.3.1: Trading & Exporting
- Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited is processing export garments with
main export markets being the US, EU and some other countries in Asia. In this
form, customers provide all raw materials and sample designs, the company only
processes according to their requirements and receives wages. Direct export by
mode of purchasing raw materials. Under this method, the company proceeds to
produce according to customers' sketches and purchases raw materials for
production and export. This approach is more effective and the company is also
more proactive in its business activities.
- In particular, a part of the product is directly exported by customers to buy
the company's complete products (including design, brand and accessories). - - In
addition, Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited also has a number of other business
functions such as: trading in machinery, equipment and materials for textile
industry. Receiving and sending equipment, spare parts, raw materials for textile
industry waiting for export.


- In the upcoming time, the company will continue to produce and trade the
items being manufactured, in addition to developing new industries such as
efficiently exploiting the land fund, trading raw materials for garment industry…

1.3.2: Marketing and communication
With the desire to develop the Marketing & Communications field associated
with leading technology solutions to provide customers with the best image and
product promotion services. Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited connect and
increase the value of investment through the media activities most effectively. Tinh
Loi has many investment projects, products and services provided mainly to
international customers.

Tinh Loi Co., LTD is a unit specializing in directly exporting garment
products. With 50 years of operation in the field of garment industry , they serve
and meet all the requirements of their customers nationwide about garment
products.

of highly qualified leaders, with the importance of training and talent training and
most importantly building the company into the second family of employees, the

development of Crystal Group and Hai Duong Province as well as the country of
Vietnam.
Products commonly applied today will give customer with the confidence of
international quality. As a reliable representative of today's famous garment
products in Vietnam, Tinh Loi Company always tries its best to bring high quality
forklift products with attractive prices.
Referring to Tinh Loi, customers are always known with a name associated
with the brand of the most prestigious and quality construction machines to
customers. With many years of experience operating in the field of typical textile



products and fabrics, always give customers advice as well as the choice of the most
prestigious and quality products.
Looking back on the success of Tinh Loi over the years of operation and
gaining the trust of our customers, Tinh Loi has always been the best destination
and the best product selection.
1.5 Overview about the department of intership
In Planning department
There are about 25 members in the department divided into some small team
specialized in planning and monitoring the production process to ensure they are
done as planned. Our team is supported by one experienced leader. They are
responsible for all tasks, conversations, communications and efficiency of their
staffs.
This is important department in Tinh Loi because it relates to business
between partners, customers in several countries.
Responsibility:
- Contacting to foreign buyers from specifical areas( Korea, Japan,
Singapore, Hong Kong, EU) and negotiate to them for best price and quality to
import construction machines.
- Supplying information about all order information and sketch and send it to
IC ( industrial engineering ) Department. Having the close, consistant relationship
to other departments, become the consistant chain from input to output to reach the
best efficiency.
- Receiving the demand from customers through Sales team and find the
suitable items resources with advanced tools.


Part 2: THE INTERSHIP AT TINH LOI GARMENT COMPANY
LIMITED

2.1. Main responsibilities:
The first task I must do is finding database about foreign companies that have
products for sales from our company’s important areas: EU, Korea, Japan,
Singapore… by using advanced searching function in Google. From that I need to
do the lists of potential companies for asking products.
I also need to find long-term partners by searching in Gmail.
The next task is contacting to supplier by email, phone or new application like
Whatsapp or Line, Viber, Kakaotalk.. to enquiry for machines.
Connecting to suppliers and customers now is easier with the development of
technology and advanced software.
For example:
The Planning department consists of some teams specializing in developing
product and keeping a close eye on manufacturing process to make sure we are
running effectively. In each team, two or three members will take care of one area.
Our team is focusing on crane products. There are 6 people in our team, two of us
will focus on one country.
I am arranged to French, therefore, I need to look for kind of material and
fabric from this market and keep in touch to suppliers in Hong Kong for enquiry
and more necessary information.
If there are suppliers make quotation by email, I need to check mail frequently,
collect information and make a report to system of the company. This system is
made to control all deals with suppliers and customers. By this way, leaders and
managers find it easier to control business and support deals in the right time. In
addition, through this system, other departments can give the information for
advertisement and product sales. We are living in modern and strongly competitive
market, so technology plays core role in success of the company.
In addition, I must reply email from suppliers, by the instruction of team
leader, to negotiate about price, payment term, time vessel schedules.



The other important task is keeping in touch with partners frequently. It means
that I need to discuss to suppliers frequently, to avoid forgetting the deal. The final
aim of all of them is reaching to lower price from suppliers and meeting customers’
needs.
In the end of the day, I must report all of my progress of my deal to special
group to managers. This is compulsory task.
2.2. Difficulties
In the first time, I find it difficult to be familiar with jobs and new
environment, so I need some days after to learn and find my legs. During the
internship, I had a lot of difficulties in office skills because I had not practiced many
things at work, especially the ability to translate specialized words in the garment
trade, in addition to the lack of experience in quickly and promptly handling
customer and suppliers requests. The actual working environment is very different
from the theory what I learn in school. Due to the limited experience, the skills to
convince customers and suppliers are still a hard challenge to me, which has not
created the really satisfaction of customers.
To work in this position, there are many things, knowledges I must learn and
improve from other coworkers. However, fortunately, I have opportunity to work
under kind leader. She always helps me when I am in trouble. She is the person who
gives me the instruction about the work and the way to solve problems. Specially, I
am free to ask her for more knowledge and information involving to products and
others.
My mail suppliers are in Hong Kong and Korea, and some of them can not
speak English, so it is unfavorable for me to have conversation with them by
cellphones. In many cases, maybe because they are too busy to check mail or they
do not have the habit to check mail, so I must ask them directly by phone.
The difference in time zone between Vietnam and Hong Kong, Korea is also
the problem I encounter.
When comparing with other staffs, my negotiating skill is lower, so I am not
confident to.



In EU countries, they are have a high but strict demand for quality, so we have
to be careful in making deal with them.
2.3. Lesson from intership
From my experience at Tinh Loi Company, I have learned so many useful
knowledge which helped me understand more about planning activities as well as to
prepare this report. Through this internship, I got a chance to have a very closely
observation about the operation of the company and gained many other benefits.
First of all, I have learned more about the way to work independently and with
group effectively, had hand-out experience in modern and active working
environment.
Second, the internship brought to me the opportunity to use my English
knowledge in working when I need to write email for asking quotation from
suppliers, have conversation with partners to get more information of products.
In addition, to work in this position, it is necessary for me to read and
understand specification of material. As a result, I can improve a huge number of
vocabularies.
Third, with the instruction of my leader, I can improve some essential skills:
computer skill, writing skill, negotiate skill, searching skill. All of them are useful
for my future jobs. I have learned a lot of ways to adapt and solve problems quickly
and flexibly. My communication skills have also improved more, especially my
English speaking skills and public-speaking which is my weak-point. Thanks to the
guidance of my advisor and other employees in the company, I have had the
background and job orientation after graduation. Thanks to the communication and
dealing activities with customers or teamwork during this internship, I gradually
cultivated and trained my soft skills and I could not deny that both the results of
professional studies and soft skills are the important factors that help me to have
opportunities for future development.



PART 2. THE USEAGE OF ENGLISH IN VIET NAM CONSTRUCTION
MACHINERY DEVELOPMENT JOINT STOCK COMPANY.
Using English in business
3.1. Reality
Nowadays, English are popular over the world, it becomes the second
language in many countries. English is the indispensible part of the international
integration. Specially in business, to take advantages of opportunities from others
markets as well as exploit more new markets, seek for investors or suppliers, we
need to change and improve language skills.
Tinh Loi is serving for both domestic and international customers through
planning activities. In the same time, the company is building potential and closeknit relationship with foreign partners. Therefore English is extremely essential as the
requirement for candidates when applying job in the company. In reality, workers use
English frequently, in writing business emails or speaking to suppliers by phones. So
the language barriers are not serious and no longer a problem like before.
However, there are still some people find it difficult to communicate and use
English in company, mainly staff is specialize in manufacturing process at factories,
have fewer chance to use English in working. They have very limited English skills,
they can only basically communicate without knowledge of specialized English as
well as specialized terms for their specific work or when there is a survey team from
abroad . Without the help of translators and interpreters, the transactions will be
delayed the efficiency of work.
Moreover, to the Planning Department in particular, that the differences in
language prevent sales staffs from creating belief and impression from foreign
customers by working skills and specialized knowledge.
In the weekend meeting or conferences, customer and business partner
appointments, English public-speaking skills and presentations of the employees
have not really made an impression on customers and partners.
3.2. Suggestion to improve efficiency of using English in the company
English is a powerful tool in business activities of


Tinh Loi Company.

Therefore, it is very necessary to enhance the efficiency of using English at work.


After one month of being an intern there in the Company, I would like to suggest
several measures including:
- Organizing English courses and activities.
- Encouraging all staffs to communicate to their colleagues in English at the
office.
- Arranging to let employees take part in conferences on sharing learning
English experiences.
- Prioritizing candidates who are better at English in recruitments.
- Providing employees documents related to the company written in English.


PART 3. SUGGESTION FOR THE SUBJECT OF GRADUATION THESIS
Today's global society business is increasingly being larger and English is
used as an international language of communication. And for Tinh Loi Garment
Company Limited, this is not an exception. English plays important roles in
workplace: Helping your company to succeed, building trust with colleagues and
clients, building and improving international relationships.
From my internship at the company, I saw that there are a quite high number
of employees who could not express the information correctly in English at work.
Some others are nervous when speaking English. This prevented the efficiency of
using communication skills at work, especially in English. Besides, they need
English to write emails, reports and drafting letters, too. Therefore, writing skills are
essential, too.
I have hand-out experience in this company and I have a chance to learn and

improve our vocabulary in this business field. Besides, it also show the more
aspects in using English in the correct and suitable way. Therefore, I will have
further study in using English skill in workplace, specially in communication skills
and and writing commercial correspondence on of four-year students at English
Department, Thuongmai Univerity as my graduation thesis.


CONCLUSION

The Tinh Loi Garment Company Limited is now becoming more and more
popular on the garment market. The company had faced many challenges and defeat
successfully to convert the company. From a very small unit, it is growing faster
today.
The area of Planning is very wide and difficult to know all of cases. The
Planning Department is the heart of an organization which plays an important role
of planning and monitoring the production process to ensure they are carried out
according to the plan, which helps to ensure the overall achievement of the goals of
the organization. Therefore, the practice of Planning Department must be well
performed.
I would like to convey my gratitude to Miss Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao,
Planning Manager for helping me in finishing the report. Moreover, I would also
like to express my gratitude to my seniors and colleagues who gave me good
advice, suggestions, aspiration and support. I must mention the wonderful working
environment and group commitment of this organization that has enabled me to deal
with a lot of things.
