ESSAY
(Introduction)
We all know that the environment plays a significant role to support life on earth.
However, the environment has been damaged by many factors these days. The
most noticeable problem is air pollution. Its self-recovery is stagnated due to the
lack of green areas. Let’s analyze the problem and find out the best solution for it.
(Problem part)
To talk about the fact of green places in the world today, we can see that the
amount of green trees has decreased dramatically. Deforestation, cutting down
trees illegally, lack of planting new trees,.. and so on. These are some reasons that
green areas now have been decreasing. The World Bank estimates that about 3.9
million square miles of forest have been lost since the beginning of the 20th
century. We’ve all known about the largest deforestation that happened in Australia
in September 2019. The consequence is 512.000 hectares of forest were lost and
led to the disappearance of more than 100 species. The lack of green areas leads to
soil erosion, water cycle disruption, biodiversity losses, and more.
The first and most typical problem is the environment. Plants, trees, and grass
provide wildlife habitat. They provide shelters, places for animals to live, and to
find the food. Lack of green areas means a lack of plants, which are the primary
producers and the consequence is the decrease of oxygen for breathing and
increases harmful gases such as carbon dioxide. Lack of green places leads to
higher air temperature and air pollution, with fewer trees to clean the air and
provide oxygen. Without soil to receive rainfall and filter the water, sewers could
be more and more overloaded, causing flooding as well as water pollution.
The next problem is that the lack of green places affects both the physical and
mental health of humans. People living in places that have less green trees are
likely to have anxiety or depression. In contrast, people who live in green areas are
more likely to be physically active. It leads to the reduction of some diseases such
as asthma, diabetes, or cancer.
Lastly, the lack of green places also affects our economy. When we cut down
trees to build factories to serve the industry, the level of industrial growth will
