ORAL TEST 2ND
Unit 4
Câu 1. Advantages of exporting
Nowadays, exporting is one of the factors to assess the development of a country, because it
brings a lot of benefits, the following are some of the main advantages for export:
Firstly, it increases sales and profits, when we export more goods abroad, we will earn a lot of
foreign exchange, which increased turnover and profits.
The second is diversification. Sales in multiple markets allows companies to diversify and
distribute their own risk. Companies are not related to the economic cycle on the domestic
market or a specific country.
The next, offset the seasonal demands. Companies products or services that are used only in
certain seasons locally may be able to sell their products or services in foreign markets during
different seasons.
Moreover, exporting will creat the ability to grow the business. Companies that engage in export
trade and tend to have a presence or representation in foreign markets. This may require
additional staff and therefore lead to an expansion.
And Sale of excess production capacity. Companies may have surplus production for some
reason can sell their products in foreign markets
Then is that Acquire new knowledge and experience. Go International provides ideas and
information on new technologies and new marketing techniques and foreign competitors.
Lastly, exporting can expand the life cycle of the product. Many products go through different
cycles is provided, growth and maturity, and decline phase and this is the end of their usefulness
in a given market. Once the product reaches the final stage, and a certain maturity in the market,
you can view the same product in different markets where the product was marketed ever
before.
Câu 2. The difficult VN faces in exporting
Although Vietnam's exports are achieving encouraging results, but in-depth studies have shown
that there are many problems arise in the export process. Many difficulties are increasingly
becoming clear obstacles hamper (chướng ngại kìm hãm) exports of Vietnam ...
The added value of exported goods is low due primarily based on exploit the elements of natural
conditions and cheap labor. Export policy development in recent years the focus on quantity

targets, not really interested in the quality and efficiency of export. Vietnam has effectively
exploit competitive advantage based on technology export, labor skills, management ... to create
the export sector capable of competing high levels of scientific and high technology, capable of
stages involved in creating high added value in global value chains. In addition, the expansion of
exports are in danger of depletion of natural resources, biodiversity depletion and environmental
pollution. Export growth, in some extent, based primarily on encouraging exploit of natural
resources and increasing the use of inputs pollutants.

Because the items of Vietnam does not require high technology to the mass use of technology
and import structure shows that the technology is less advanced (relative comparison with the
United States and Europe) because we all technologies are imported from China and ASEAN).
Similarly, the agricultural sector and export processing in Vietnam not to the extent of human
resources requires high knowledge but should have good practical skills. While general workers
switching between textile and footwear to electronics has lost a lot of effort in training skilled
workers.
Export is one of the priority areas of credit funds this year, think the central bank, the Ministry
of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Finance should issues of incentives to guide to the credit
institution building and practical implementation of the program to gradually fix the
shortcomings in export activities, bringing Vietnam's export sector more sustainable growth.
Câu 3. What is free trade ?
Free trade is the removal of the barrier formed by the countrise to make the flow of goods
moving from one country to another more favorable(thuậnlợi) on the basis of equal competition.
These barriers can be said on the tariff, import and export licenses, regulations on quality
standards of goods and quarantine(kiểmdịch) requirements and methods of taxation, etc. .. The
barriers
are
objects
of
the

WTO
agreements
that
are
monitoring
implementation( giámsátthựcthi )
Say in brief how good it is for both producer and consumer?
When free trade appears, countries will benefit by specializing( chuyênsảnxuất) in the
production of goods and services that they can produce most efficiently, and thanks to the
exchange of goods and services to get the goods and services that other countries production
with higher quality but lower price. In doing so, the country will benefit from more efficient
producers, consumers have more choices than goods and services of better quality but lower
price. The removal of barriers will allow consumers access to the vast markets of the world
with a full range of goods, from food, clothing, and manufactured goods other to create the
services that form the infrastructure( cơsởhạtầng ) of a modern economy, from finance to
telecommunications, transport and education…
Câu 4. What comparative advantages does Viet Nam have?
Every country has the comparative of advantages. All countries will be better if they
concentrates on doing the thing it does best. Viet Nam too. It is trying to become a develop
couutry by exploit maximum these comparative advantage.
Firs, VN is a rice agriculture country. It is the second largest rice exporting countries the world.
With a tropical climate, good farming conditions that suitable for rice, In 2013, the total output
of exporting rice is about seven million tons. An amazing number. This is the most important
comparative advantages of Viet Nam.
Secondly, moreover. Viet Nam also concentrate on textile and agriculture products such as :
shoes, clothes, silk, coffee… so on.. thanks to long experience of Viet Nam famers and good
conditions of weather… these product can get the good position in the world market
That is two biggest comparative advantages of Viet Nam.

How can VietNam exploit its comparative advantages?
To exploit the comparative advantage, Vietnam should improve the productivity of all product.
By basing on famers experience, in addition, it has to improve the means of production, change
the new farming methods to get the highest quality an quantity.
Moreover, the government should support to the farmers, encourage them to work more actively.
The last one, I think we need to get new methods by learning from develop country such as
Janpan, America…
That is all my attitude. Thanks for listening 
Câu 5. Vietnam has become the second largest rice exporter in the world. What should
Vietnam do to maintain thí position?
Our country had to spent a lot of stages to become the second largest rice exporter in the world.
So we should do everything to maintain this position. In my opinion, the most important thing is
quality. The global market is a highly competitive place and by participating in this market, the
products must be at high quality. If not, we will lose and disappear from the market. Because not
only Vietnam but also other countries have exported rice in the world and they are really strong
competitors, for example: Thailand, (). So we have to constantly improve rice’s quality to make
imported countries believe and choose our products instead of others.
The second, Justified policy to encourage farmers. I have read in a lot of newspapers and they
say that: Although Vietnam is one of the largest rice exported countries, but our farmers’ life is
still poor and hard. Especially, their income is 5 times low compare with the farmers in other
countries. So a lot of our farmers have to leave their field and come to the large cities to improve
their life. So the government should have justified policy to help and encourage the farmers to
produce and export rice.

Unit 5
Câu 1. Be global think local
Muốn phát triển toàn cầu thì trước hết phải hiểu rõ từng địa phương
( If u wanna to be global brand , u must success in each country u target )
Global is about the size and strength of a business.
Local is about the people or market that business want to know - where they live and work, how

they think, what they value .
For specific example , the healthy of the forest and tending the trees . With only a view of the
forest as a whole, it is possible to overlook areas that need attention. If we look into each tree ,it
easy to focus on and take care of that tree better . Take the tree good is also mean keeping the
good healthy for forest .
Global is a bit like the forest and the trees in the forest is these market which business target .
The success in each market will make business success in the world .

Just said that but it’s not easy to do . Business have to consider a lots of factors in local when
you want to release a new product .With worldwide brands ,it possible to change your message
from country to country, or even within one market . For some factors :
Translate for Culture
Without cultural awareness, direct translation has the potential to confuse, alter meaning or even
offend .One well-known example of missing cultural translation is the Chevy Nova ( a car
company ) , which failed in the Spanish-speaking market where No Va literally means “it does
not go.”
Preferences of customer
Coca-cola produces a version for Japan which is sweeter than the one sold in the US or The
Japanese prefer beef with a higher fat content, so MCDonald’s naturally obliges.
Human characteristics
In Japan , Mister Donut's coffee cup smaller and lighter to suit the Japanese's hand , even the
donut is a little smaller

Câu 2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of brand name products for
customers?
Advantage
_ assurance about quality : for sure to become a famous brand the company or the
product was used by a lot of customers and it was believed to choose and use . so when
you used a products in the famous name you needn’t care a lot about the quality which is

a big problem when you chose and used a product of the new brand …..
_diversity and improvements : beside the quality , the diversity and improvements aren’t
less important than , the famous brand it mean they can earn much money ( for sure it’s
famous in the good way not famous because the scandals ) with the famous with the
money and with the demand of market , the new products are made and the old products
are update everyday are the truism . so the customer will easier to approach with the new
technology and have a change to choses the product suitable with themselves …..(ex: the
application on smart phone it almost update every day )
_ service : I think this is the advantage for customers when they use a celebrated product
too . with a large company sometimes the price of the brand and the reputation are higher
than the price of material . so they always try to make a best service for customer
because if have any problems with there product the good services are the good way to
improve the juncture and keep the customer . Some service like training skill for seller ,
environment in the company , guarantee , and they will make sure for almost problem of
customers ……
• Disadvantage
_ price : expensive
_ easier to buy a fake if they just look at the name and forget the most importance thing
in product is quality
_ Sometimes it will waste a lot of money if follow the brand

Câu 3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of brand name products for
producers?

Cost

If you wish to create and maintain a strong brand presence, it can involve a lot of design and

marketing costs. A strong brand is memorable, but people still need to be exposed to it, this
often requires a lot of advertising and PR over a long period of time, which can be very costly.
There are also costs involved with the creating of a brand image or logo (Paying for a
designer, printing new letterheads/business cards etc.), and although most of these are only one
off costs, they are still relatively large for most small businesses.
The exposure of your brand can be left to word of mouth, this will save you money, but will
also greatly slow down the exposure your brand receives.

Impersonal

One of the main problems with many branded businesses is that they lose their personal
image. The ability to deal on a personal basis with customers is one of the biggest advantages
small business have, and poorly designed branding could give customers the impression that
your business is losing its personal touch.

Fixed Image

Every brand has a certain image to potential customers, and part of that image is about what
products or services you sell. If you are known for selling just one product, and you want to sell
another product, will you be able to do so effectively ? If you sell computers, would your brand
name be suitable for selling vacuum cleaners? If your brand is focused too strongly on one
product, it can limit your ability to sell other products.

Timescale

The process of creating a brand will usually take a long period of time. As well as creating a
brand and updating your signs and equipment (e.g. Stationary, vehicles etc…), you need to

expose it to your potential customers. It is commonly shown that people need to see an advert at
least three times before they absorb it, which means you will need to advertise and promote the
brand for a considerable amount of time before it will become well known.
Advantages:
- Loyalty to a brand that customers continue to buy products or services because of a strong
brand is a guarantee of the product where
- Price high to allow businesses to get higher rates. The strong branded products are more likely
than higher priced competitors, but consumers still accept
- Strong brand creates credibility facilitate the introduction of new products
Câu 5. WHAT SHOULD BE DONE TO MAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT MORE
APPEALING TO PEOPLE IN HCMC
There are some advantages of bus in HCMC such as the ticket is cheap, more safety than
motorbike, you would not worry about the bad weather,…, so I think it will be the most suitable

transportation for student like us. Beside that, there are also a lot of problems with it that make
people aren't satisfied when using the bus.
1. The first reason people don’t want to use bus that is the badly treated of driver and

driver’s mate to the passengers. Driver or driver’s mate are usually angry, shouting at
customers, they are very rude, so that that people didn’t want to use bus anymore.
Solution: So I think the Saigon bus company should re-training their staff and have a
stricter in recruitment. In the other hand, I think they should reward for staffs who have
polite attitude with passengers, so that the driver or driver’s mate may not be angry with
customers anymore. Even if the bus ticket’s price is higher, I think the customers will still
satisfied.
2. The second problem that is punctuality. One of the biggest problem in HCMC that is
traffic jam, so that when you use bus for going to school or go somewhere in rush hour,
that is a bad idea, you’re definitely late. So the best choice is motorbike, no one in this
case want to take a bus.

Solution: I think the city government should make a separate lanes only for bus. So you
will not late anymore.
3. The next problem is the bus system in our city is too old. Everything in the bus are all in
bad condition such as the floor, the glass is dirty, it’s smell, the air condition sometime
can’t use anymore.
Solution: So I think the Bus Company should upgrade them such as replace the too old
bus with the new one.
Câu 5. What should be done to make the public transport more appealing to people in
HCM city?
Nowadays, the increasing number of private vehicles are the main cause of congestion and air
pollution which threat directly human's life in cities. In order to reserve this decline, people were
need to use public transport,
So, what should be done to make the public transport more appealing to people in HCM city?
- The pubic transport in HCM city now is only BUS.
- first, make cost of ticket bus is the most competitive as possible
- second, increase bus routes in anywhere in HCM city that the BUS can be!
- third, increase bus station, make it colorful, clean and beautiful.
- fourth, keep bus always clean, comfortable, especially, bus don’t have unpleasant taste.
- fiveth, prohibit overloading passenger in bus.
- sixth, ticket seller must have polite attitude to the passengers and warn to passengers when to
appear a person as theft in bus.
- last, acknowledge people that using bus is reducing polluted invironment.

UNIT 6
Câu 1: WHAT METHODS DO SUPERMARKETS USE TO MAKE CUSTOMERS
SPEND MONEY?

- Firstly, They usually arrange all products on the shelves along the aisles and they often divide
the supermarket into many different areas. You can be attracted by variety of goods when you

travel around and of course you buy things that you never thought of.
- Secondly, “eye level is buy level” ? The items supermarket really want to sell is always
arranged at your eye level. Customers tend to grab whatever they see first.
- Thirdly, Whenever we go to the supermarket , there is an area was called end-of-aisle. You may
usually see at this area “special offer” but you should be careful. The study have showed that the
customers purchase the items at end-of-aisle much more 5 time than at the ordinary rows, so that
the supermarket usually put the items which nearly out of date at this place. So it doesn’t mean
you will have a bargain.
- Next, At vegetable place or fashion place, almost products are still lighted with many color
lights, they look very fresh and beautiful so you will put them in the trolley without thinking
- And lastly, on special day, many supermarkets often give the patrons the price list to introduce
the new product. When you go to the supermarket on this days, you sometimes receive
promotional presents or you will be discounted some percent on the bill if you purchase a large
amount of goods.

- Although a store is small, its very clean and orderly.

advertising and preparing promotion and don’t forget to raise quality products and services.
- And I'll Analyze the competition to develop the best stores
Câu 5: WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES AND DISAVANTAGES OF SHOPPING
ONLINE?
* Advantages:
As you know, nowadays, when information technology are developing, customers prefer going

shopping online than going supermarket or market. Because shopping online have many
advantages:
• First, It's real convenience. Customers just stay at home, go into website of supermarket or
shop, choose items and click "buy" or “order”. Sellers will bring items to their home.
• Second, Shopping online allows customer to buy whenever they want. The shop online is
openned all day. It’s suitable with many people who are working all day, they don't have enough
time to go out shopping. After working, they can go shopping online by their computer or their

displayed on website of shop online. People can choose suitable goods for them and order goods
from many different website.
• Finally, Customers can easily find out the information of goods and compare prices and
compare the quality of goods and services before buying them. Whereas, Shopping in the

* Disadvantages:
Besides some advantages, there are a lot of disadvantages when shopping online for customer.
• First, when shoping online, Sometimes the network is congested, customers will be difficult to
order online.
• Second, Customers can’t touch their hands and can’t get to test the goods before buying them.
In many cases, the quality goods on the website aren’t the same the actual quality of goods that
the seller deliveries. So, the customers may be received poor quality goods.
• Third, the another problem is return of goods. Customers will have to pay the charge for
shipping it back, repackaging, and stocking in most cases.
• Fourth, the payment online isn’t safe for the personal information of customers. It wil be
hacked when customers paid for the items online. Some websites can’t make sure of the security
of payment data card or their credit card.
• Finally, customers usually have to wait long time to receive their items. Sometimes, this can
take up to a month or longer if being shipped from overseas. There could be delays on the

delivery and miscommunications. This makes the customers feel dissatisfied and uncomfortable.

Unit 7
Câu 1. How do consumers benefit from competiton?
When companies compete with each other, there are many benefit for consumers such as:
Higher quality, Service improvement, Lower price and Light in weight……
If companies compete, the competitior will promote the enhancement of their services, and the
improvement of their products ability. The competition among them enable the consumers to select
products whatever they want in a lower price but higher quality.
As you can see in the above illustration, consumers receive various benefits from competition, for
example, between cell phone carriers in terms of quality improvement, such as light in weight and
smaller in size, performance improvement in electronic mail and cameras and service improvement,
and price reduction in telephone bills.

Câu 2: Why should companies make their products obsolate?
It’s seem strange to say that companies should try to make their products obsolete. However, if
they don’t do that, they will be overtakened by their competitors. As you know, most products
have a limited life cycle. When they reach the stage “develop”, sooner or later, companies must
face the problem that there will be lots of competitors can imitate their products. Therefore, they
have to make their products out of date and old-fashioned by offering more and more new
product or improving current production lines. The purpose of this work is attract and keep
customers as well as make competiors can’t catch them up.
For example, Apple brought out smart phone production lines which have touchscreen and a lot
of new features is Iphone. It is popular over the world. And not long time after that, many
phones with the same features appear, but Apple still keeps their high position. Because they
continue bring out lots of new production lines. It makes customers feel their own Iphone is
obsolete and they want a new Iphone. Or we can see Chanel, which is a famous fashion brand.
They always come up with new, unique ideas but beautiful and elegant. For fashion industry,
“obsolete” is certain. However, Chanel still maintain their popularity though they must compete

with other famous competitors. They show the world that they create not only new clothes but
also new trends.
To sum up, companies should try to make their products obsolete by always changing, if they
want success.
Câu 3: What happens to any successful product or service?
As you know, most products have a limited life cycle. When they reach the stage “develop”,
sooner or later, companies must face the problem that there will be lots of competitors can
imitate their products, especially successful products or services. Because other companies think
maybe customers really like that products, and they can make enermous profits if they create
items have the same features with the originals. Therefore, unless companies can bring out more
and more new ideas or improve current production lines, their competitors will catch them up
and may eventually overtaken them.
To sum up, in my opinion, “always change” is a good idea to make sure that their rivals can’t
catch them up.
Câu 2 và 3 ko thể gạch ý đc, nên MM đành phải viết ra đoạn luôn. Này là MM tự chém, ko kiếm
đc trên mạng, nên câu cú có gì ko hay thì mọi người tự sửa lại theo ý mình nha.

Vì 2 câu mà MM làm có ý nghĩa khá giống nhau (câu này là bổ trợ cho câu kia, tính làm 1 câu

Câu 4: What do you often do when you are not satisfied with the quality of a product or
servicre?
Each company has normally email, hotline or customer care department so when customers are
not satisfied with the quality of a product or service, they can:
-

send letter to company's email to complain or comment
call to hotline to recieve explanation from company's employees about fault of product or
service
go to customer care department at company, to present dissatisfaction about product or
service and recieve an explanation from staffs
require a technical staff go to your house to repair product, or suggest having a new
product to replace, if possible

Câu 5. What will you do to turn your company around when……?
In my opinion, here are some effective methods and tips you can use when your company is failing to
turn your company around:
Work on a New Business Plan
Once you understand what’s causing your business failure, you can start working on a new plan
to eliminate that cause and replace it with better options.
Look for the BEST Business Partners
Your business can’t succeed with your efforts alone. That’s why you should try to find the
best - new business partners. That includes both investors and suppliers.
Let Go of the Least Profitable Clients
Some customers are just really not worth it. Instead of trying yourself with clients that are giving
you little money, it’s best to work on and please clients that actually gives you the most profit.
You can put your marketing efforts towards finding other loyal and beneficial customers.
