1. Disadvantage of Nuclear family
Everything in the world has its own pros and cons, and a nuclear family is no
exception. Although a nuclear family offers notable benefits to the children,
parents, and to the society, it has its own shortfalls, as well. Some of the
disadvantages of having a small family include:
*) Insecurity for children
In nuclear family both husband and wife adopt profession outside the family, then
children are neglected and looked after by the servants. They feel lonely and
emotional insecure. They develope more anxiety.
If parent work and children don’t have friend to play , they can happen accident .
In New Zealand one child dies every 18 months and 30 children are injured due to
accidents with electricity.

*)

Loneliness

Feelings of loneliness is one of important drawbacks in nuclear family. After
completion of household task , the housewife becomes alone at home . At the time
of emergency one can get any help and support from any other .
2. Single family
Nowadays, it is just as common for children to be in a single-parent family than a
traditional two-parent family. Due to divorce rate, delays in marriage, and those
shunning the institution of marriage altogether, single-parent families are
becoming increasingly popular. There are many advantages and disadvantages for
children of single parents.
Disadvantages

Decrease in income. Amidst the other disadvantages, a decrease in income

can affect how much time and money parents have to spend with their
children.

Negative feelings. Some children feel so upset about the situation that they
will blame the parents for problems in their relationships. This is reason
which lead to children have negative feelings.

Sense of loss. Children may feel they have lost a protector or a guide. This
sense of loss could lead to high rates of anxiety and aggression and children
using their upset feelings to manipulate the parents.

For example : when children look their friend have parent , they will feel sad.

Problems accepting new relationships. Children may find it difficult to bond
with potential partners of the single parent.
Nowaday, The majority of single family , children live with mother ( the
chart is 23 % in 2005) . when children only live mother, they will lack of
emotion of father . so they have many problem about psychology such as
inferiority complex, shy…

2. Living alone
Despite of all the advantages, living alone has also manydisadvantages.
First of all, if you are an outgoing and sociable person, you may find it hard
and depressing to be on your own all the time. You may soon become tired

of doing everything alone and may start to miss somebody's comapany while
watching TV or even eating dinner. Besides, if you do not share your flat with
anyone, there will be no one to look after you when you fall ill. In addition,
you may need a friendly chat from time to time, some pieces of advice
or consolation when you have some worries and a flatmate can be really helpful
then. Even such simple thing as cooking is much more enjoyable if you do it with
somebody or for somebody.
4.Cohabiting family
The cohabiting family is increasing quickly , from 1,2 million to 3,3 milion in
nighteen years . In My opinion, this trend has many disadvantage
Cohabitation comes to a dead end due to no written and legal commitment
Cohabitation is not a permanent relationship. It is a short-lived and short-term
relationship, while marriage is a long-lasting and durable relationship due to strong
commitment

IN vietnam, if woman choose cohabiting family, they will be disadvantages. For
example , a couple lives together. unfortunately, woman have pregnant, if man
isnot responsible, woman become single mother. So I think we should marry.
