Write about your favourite wild animal:
Hello, my name is Nguyen. I'm a student in class 5A4 at Pham
Hong Thai primary school. Today, I'm very proud to be here with
you to join this English-Speaking contest. I'd like to tell you about
my favorite wild animal.
In the wild world, there are many kinds of animals, such as lions,
tigers, gorilla, and so on. But my favorite animal is the eagles.
There are many reasons that make me like this animal. Eagles are
known as the king of the sky, because of the lordly body and the
power of this animal, and they look really cool too. As what I have
read in my books, they feature prominently on the coat of arms of
a large number of countries, such as Germany, Mexico, Egypt,
Poland, and Austria. They have hooked beaks, excellent eyesight
and have powerful talons which help them in catching prey.
Eagles also build their nests on high cliffs or tall trees, and there
are more than 60 different species of eagles. My favorite kind of
eagle is the golden eagles. They have been known to hunt foxes,
wild cats and even young deer and goats. There is one more type
of eagles that I like, and it's very related to the USA. That's the
bald eagles. Why does it relate? because the Great Seal of the
United States features a bald eagle. Bald Eagles are found in
North America so they are the national birds of the United States.
Although their name suggests otherwise, bald eagles are not bald.
As I know, They catch and eat mostly fish by swooping down to
the water and catching them with their powerful talons and
Female bald eagles are larger than male bald eagles, but I don't
like that because if I could go to North America, I want to have
50% of seeing a male bald eagle, not a female one. In an old
website I have read, they said the bald eagle was added to the list

of endangered species in the United States in 1967 and its

numbers have recovered well since. That's a few things about my
favorite animal, eagles. Thanks for listening.
