TOPIC: Fathers are the best friends?
Good morning everybody, my name is Nguyen. I’m 10 years old. I’m
a student at Pham Hong Thai primary school, Nam Dinh city. I’m in class
5A4. Today, I’m very proud to be here, coming to the English speaking
contest.
Some people say “Fathers are the best friends”. I couldn't agree more
because my father is my best friend.
My father knows me even better than I do. I still remember when I
was six years old, I attended the first grade of primary school and I
showed special interest in numbers. He told me that I could be good at
math, and it is true. Until now, I am always good at mathematics and get
good marks.
He always tries to be my friend and to spend time with me even if
when he is very busy. When we have time, usually at weekends, we play
sports or watch a football match together. I always go to my father if I
have problems with my friends at school. He shows me what wrong or
right and gives me precious advice. He always listens, and I can share
everything with him.
When I get a good mark, he is there to compliment me. When I'm sad
or sick he is there to comfort me. When I was preparing for this contest, he
is there to encourage me. He is always there.
My father is not only my best friend but also my role model that I
look up to. And I think all of us has a best friend, our father.
