group to stand here and make the presentation to you. The topic of our group is
“Computer and Cell phone”.

The presentation consists of 3 main parts, those are Computer, Cell phone and
Conclusion, and 4 minor parts about mini game, definition, advantages and
disadvantages of computer and cellphone.
Before getting started, I invite all of you to join a game called “crossword puzzle”
to warm up our class.

As you can see, the answers we have found are some parts of a computer. And
today, we would like to introduce to what computer is and its advantages and
disadvantages.
I want to ask you a question: Do you have a computer? Do you have a computer at

Most of people have at least a computer. Computers are very popular with people.
So, What is a computer? I will help you answer this question.


A computer can be defined as an electronic device that receives, stores and
processes information.


Although there are many kinds of computers, for example, Laptop and Desktop
Computer, a computer includes a system unit, monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers,
CD drive and many more things.
The system unit is the most important part of computer. The system unit includes
the CPU, Random Access Memory or RAM, hard disk, mother board and so on.
The CPU is an acronym for Central Processing Unit that processes the information.
RAM stores the temporary information while the system is on. It removes the data
as soon as the system is switched off.
Hard Disk stores the saved information.

The Mother Board connects and allows communication between various units of
the computer.
Monitor displays the information and picture.
Keyboard: Letters and numbers are typed into the computer system through the
keyboard.
Mouse points the cursor and is used in selecting something on the screen.
The other components of a computer system includes speakers, modem, printers,
etc.

homes, offices to school and hospital to relax, process data, store data, even contact

more things that you can access whenever you want. Moreover, access to the
stored information is super-fast. It takes a few seconds to open or access files or
links you need.

 Every coin have a two side, in that way use of computer has some advantages

of the computer and also some computers disadvantages. The disadvantages of
computer is as follows: (Mỗi đồng xu có hai mặt, theo cách đó việc sử dụng
máy tính có một số ưu điểm của máy tính cũng như một số nhược điểm của máy
tính. Những nhược điểm của máy tính như sau):

1. Constant and improper computer use affects your health. (Sử dụng máy vi

tính liên tục và không đúng cách sẽ ảnh hưởng đến sức khỏe của bạn.)
It ruins or injures your eyes, muscle, spinal column, neck, wrist and even melts
your brain when you waste hours sitting in front of the monitor.
(Nó làm hỏng hoặc làm bị thương mắt, cơ, cột sống, cổ, cổ tay và thậm chí làm tan
chảy bộ não của bạn khi bạn lãng phí hàng giờ ngồi trước màn hình.)

Many people are using computer for negative purpose. These are main
disadvantages of computers. They play games, watch movies, and chat for long
period of time. Young generation is now spending a more time on the social sites
like facebook or twitter.

into a violent person. You can also absorb evil spirit through pornographic Internet
sites and unwholesome entertainment. That leads social evils like raping, robbing,
or even murdering.

a computer? Why? Why not? In my opinion, they should. Because computers can
help them improve knowledge, learn another language, relax, or chat with their

Besides the advantages they also have the following disadvantages:


1. They make you sleep at late and get tired.

When students playing games on mobile phone, they don’t care about time as they
concentrate fully on the game. Most of the student choose night bed time for
playing. Because no one would disturb them. So they play till 2 or 3 in the early
morning unless parents come and shout them to sleep. Some students choose the
sleeping time for chatting with friends. Chatting also makes them sleep at very late.
Do you know what happens if they sleep at late? Next day they get tired which
doesn’t make them concentrate on subjects. (Khi học sinh chơi trị chơi trên điện
thoại di động, họ khơng quan tâm đến thời gian vì họ tập trung hồn tồn vào trò

Before having these phones and technology, students spend plenty of time with
their family. Now students spent their free time with mobile phones. (Trước khi có
điện thoại và cơng nghệ, học sinh dành nhiều thời gian với gia đình. Bây giờ học
sinh đã dành thời gian rảnh của họ với điện thoại di động.
A group of friends at a restaurant or coffee shop always look down at their phones
instead of chatting each other. (Một nhóm bạn tại một nhà hàng hoặc quán cà phê

When there is an important lecture going on and if your mobile phone ring on that
time, it will disturb the whole class. Most of the students put their mobile phones in
silent mode, but some students don’t care about that. So the ringing tone

can make us relax after working or studying hard by listening to music or playing

In general, computer and cell phones have both pros and cons to our society. They
make the people's lives and works become more convenient. Yet, computer and
cell phones still impact badly on health, time and communication of individuals.
To avoid these problems, each person should manage the time of using them
reasonably. Besides, the awareness of people about the disadvantages of them
