ENGLISH VINGLISH
1. What is the film about?
-The film is about an Indian woman who fells hard to communicate in daily activities where
English is become one of the most common languages (second behind the Hindi) in India. She
was underestimated by people around her, including her young daughter. A few day after, she
was invited to her cousin wedding in America, where took nearly 24 hours flight from her
country. She prepared everything that she needed but ones, English. In America, it was one
most the most terrible days of her life, where she tumbled with the “language barrier”. Luckily,
when she saw an advertisement about an English teaching class, she decided to join in. At that
time she studied in that class, she met some lovely friends, a humorous teacher, and even a
French guy who fell in love with her! Thanks to that class, she became an open person and her
English skill somehow improved in just one month! In her cousin wedding, she shocked the
crowd with her fluently speech in English, disentangled with the French guy and made her
husband realized how much she loved him. At the end of the film, she received the respective

from her family, they went back to India and started to “write a new chapter” of they life.

2. What do you like about the film?
-What I like the most about the film is the soundtrack. The music is stunning, it make the movie
more attractive and it very work with the main actress felling.

3. What messages does the film imply?
-The film not just bring you the entertaining but it show us how much English important to our
life. In the world where we are more integration, English take a large affected to our activities,
work, society… From what we have seen in that film, and how important it is, why don’t we start
to learn English now?
