Some hold the view that ideas and information should be completely open, and there should
be no controls on what people can read and watch in the media (TV, newspapers, internet).
Do you agree with this view, or do you think that in some circumstances governments should
limit the freedom of the media?

Negative information to country: feeling, no discipline, no peace.
National secret: terrorism
Not Limit because: people rights to show good ideas, improve.
We are living in 21st century while information become part of our lives. In my country, each
family has at least 1 television is normal while many of them even setup internet for their
home-using. So media strongly influences us in different ways, we watch TV, read newspapers
everyday and we can comment or post ideas as soon as we press Enter key. I completely agree
that goverments should control what people can read and watch in the media and here is my
reasons.
Firstly, providing every information to the readers could lead to negative situations because
people are attracted by shock news or fascinating titles. Example the number views of rape and
murder always are much more than others. If someone watch it daily, I believe that he or she
will become negative and stress. Another reason why I vote for limiting information is that
media is a double-edges sword. There will be no problem if people only share legal data with
others, but how dangrous they will be if banned information and national secrets are on
internet for everyone. Wikileak can be seen as a good example. Thousands of USA’s government
secret document was uploaded to this website includes policies to fight back terrorism, police and
army’s activities,… And criminal may become more serious if they got that words.
On the other hand, limiting information and ideas gets it’s disadvantages. A lot of people will never know
the truth or be bodered to show their good opinions to improve the society, even that is their rights. But
sometime we need necessary evil to make a discipline and peaceful world.
In conclusion, I suppose media should be controlled to make sure correct information goes to the
country.
