I. Objectives.
After the lesson Ss will be able to get acquainted with the new topic : Stay
healthy.
And learn with the new structure : Would you + V-ing......?
-To drill Ss listening skills.

III. Teaching procedure.

3. New lesson.
A. Warm up.
-Ask Ss to list the things they should do and the things they should’t do.
-Read aloud in front of the class.
We should brush teeth regulary.
We should see the dentist twice a year.
We shouldn’t eat sweets

B. Presentation.
-Introduce the picture and ask Ss to answer the questions.
Who are they in the picture ?
Where are they ?
What do you think they are doing ?
- Introduce the new words.

Medical records: phiếu khám sức khoẻ
Fill in the medical records; điền vào phiếu khám sức khoẻ.
-Ask Ss to read aloud the new words after the teacher.
-Ask Ss to read the introduction and answer the questions.
- What are these students from?
- What are they doing?
- Introduce the reading and aks Ss to guess what they will do in a check up?
-Introduce the new words.

-Ask Ss to read the new words in chorus.

- Play the tape and aks Ss to practice the dialogue.
- Ask Ss to read the dialogue in pairs.
- Ask Ss to work in pairs to do the : Now answer . Number the sentences, using the
information given in the conversation you have practiced.
- Write the answers on the BB, and read aloud the answers.
- Check if necessary.
D.Production.
- Ask Ss to role play the dialogue by using the tools to have a medical check –up.

And practice the dialogue and fill in the medical records.
-To drill Ss listening , and writing skills.

III. Teaching procedure.

A. Warm up.
- Ask Ss to go to the BB and introduce the height, weight, age.
B. Pre- listening
Ask Ss to look at the picture and answer the questions.
Who are they in the picture?
What is Hoa doing ?
-Ask Ss to read the dialogue in silence and guess the words to fill in the
blanks.
C. While- listening.
Ask Ss to listen to the tape sentence by sentence.
- Try to fill in the blanks.
-Ask Ss to write the answers on the BB , and read the dialogue in pairs.
Doctor: I want to ask you a few questions before I start, Hoa ? How old are
you ?
Hoa : fourteen.
Doctor: And your weight is one meter 50 centimeters?
Hoa: No, I think I’m shorter. The nurse measure me.
Doctor: Oh, how tall are you ?

- Ask Ss to read again the dialogue and then close the book to retell some things

E Futher practice.
- Work in pairs , one of you is A and the other is B. Look at the copy of the
medical record and cover the copy. A aks B about the missing information and
complete the record.

C. While - Listening.
- Introduce the listening and ask Ss to work in individual to complete the table by
writing the days in each column.
- Play the tape one through.
- Play the tape sentence by sentence.
- Ask Ss to share the questions with the partners.
- Give the correct answers and write on the BB.

it.
b) They are : running nose, a slight fever, coughing and sneezing.

d) no, these medicines don’t cure a cold, but they relieve the symptoms.
e) We can prevent the cold by eating well, doing exercise, keeping fit and stay
healthy.
