SOLUTIONS
In this picture we can see Smokey, the ranger, sitting in his office. He’s leaning back
comfortably in his chair, resting his legs on an open drawer. He’s wearing a hat, a
pair of jeans and a pair of boots.
In one hand he’s holding a mug. In the other he’s holding a letter. He is reading a
letter from one of his fans. His desk is full of stacks of letters, and his garbage can is
full of discarded (=thrown out) envelopes.
Smokey does a great job preventing fires and teaching children how to use fire
safely. That’s why children love him so much, and send him letters from everywhere
in the country.
Smokey has a lot of things in his office. There is a Smokey Bear doll on his shelf.
Right beside the doll there is a toy car and a picture of a bear.
The door of his office is open, and in the background we can see a beautiful
landscape with a mountain, a tree and the blue sky. A deer is peeking in through the
open door. Next to the door there is a map on the wall. Below the map, we can see
an empty bucket and a shovel, two useful tools for putting out a fire.
In the foreground we can see a folder about forest fire prevention: Smokey’s job and
mission.

It is still irresponsible to leave fires unattended.
It is stupid to throw lit cigarettes away.
It is careless to use equipment without proper spark arrestors.
