If I ever had the power of travelling to anywhere in the world by using a magic
carpet like Aladdin…On this planet, there are many beautiful countries, many
wonderful countries to choose from. And if I had to choose one city, it will be
Manchester in England.
As a student who study and speak English, I have always wanted to visit England.
I want to see the streets, see famous places such as the Big Ben, the Buckingham
Palace, etc. and meet people there. It will be a wonderful chance to practice my
English as well as to get to know more about a different country.
Of course, if I want to visit England, I can choose London, or Liverpool, or various
other cities. But why Manchester? I believe the reason Manchester becomes so
attractive to me is because of football – my favourite sport. The city is the home
to one of the best football clubs in the world, Manchester United, which is also
the team I support since I was a kid. When I was 3, I decided that my favourite
football team will be Manchester United because they wore “cool” red shirts, but
as I grew older and watched more United games, I knew that I supported Man
United because they play brilliant football and win games with wits, strength,
determination and teamwork, not solely because of a random magic moment
from Beckham or a Roy Race-like performance from Keane to save the team.


Manchester United is not simply a football club; it is the proud child of the city,
the love of many football fans not only in England but also the world, and also a
symbol of football itself. Going to Manchester means I will have a chance to visit
the famous Old Trafford Stadium, or even watch a match United play on their
home ground and cheer for them with the fans. There is definitely nothing better
than watching your favourite football team in action on the ground of the
fortress named Old Trafford and sing along the chants with fans from England

and many countries. In an Old Trafford stand on an United match day, races,
genders, religious views, etc. don’t matter, because it is all about United spirit in
United fans, and that is why I love Manchester United…that is why I want to go to
Manchester.
The beautiful game called football is one reason for me to go to Manchester, but
it is not the only reason - Manchester is not all about United and City. Using
Aladdin’s magic carpet, I can see skyscrapers aroud the city as well as the streets
and the rail network from above. I want to visit Manchester’s museums and
galleries such as Manchester Art Gallery, the Museum of Science and Industry,
etc. – those are where I can find knowledge about the world and the culture,
history of Manchester itself. I want to enjoy the music scene of Manchester, with
rock bands (Oasis is a notable example) or orchestras. ..
To me, Manchester is a mystery, a place which I just know through television,
newspaper and Wikipedia. That is why I want to explore, to know all about
Manchester – football, museums, culture, daily lives, everything.
There may be many other famous, probably more glamourous, cities, countries
in the world that people want to visit once in their life, like New York, London,
Roma, etc. However, Manchester still attracts me, as the city of the Red Devils
and as a new horizon.

If I had the carpet of Aladin, I will decide go to where I saw the most beautiful.
That's not New York City, London or Beijing even though the place is considered
to be the most beautiful in the world. Where I like to come to the Changsha
Islands, where the country is headed.
The land and people of my hometown always towards peace, independence and
freedom. But there are always going to war, Viet Nam with other neighbors
country. If I was out there, I will not carry weapons, ammunition, fig. Because
that place was too afraid of them. So, I'm looking forward to being out there to

bring the feelings of the land to them. Bring the red flag have yellow star, was
standing with him and singing to the song Ho Chi Minh of Vietnam. Get along
cheering the slogan "there's nothing better than independence and
freedom." Send them wishes, letter from the Mainland. Moreover, Changsha is
also very beautiful, with white sand, wind and sea. It's great when the Moon is
passing along the beach and sing with soldiers - This is the real heros in my heart.
To get there so I can see more precious the happiness you are by where it is
always the left, the distant. Where to I find myself so happy to live in the place
where there is only peace. And for sure I will have more motivation than to strive
to build my country become richer and more beautiful. There will no longer be
war, no violence, just peace.

Traveling is a major concern for many people when they live in good condition
but choosing a suitable country to visit is so difficult. I always believe that a
miracle will happen to me in the near future such as if I had a magic carpet of
Aladdin, I would take a trip to the unique and ancient land of Egypt where it is
the first and probably most impressive place in my mind.
It goes without saying that Egypt is considered as an architectural masterpiece
and it also can provide an exotic and interesting architecture and lifestyles of the
old world. Egypt contains lots of famous landscapes such as the Pyramid, Ancient
Temples and Nile River, so there are a number of people want to visit there to
explore them. The reasons are the same as mine, and I prefer to visit the city
where The Pyramids were built to others.
As you known, the most recognizable and popular tourist site in Egypt, the
pyramids that locate in Giza, the Great Pyramid is known as one of the seven
wonders of the ancient world are filled with legends and mysteries. It is built

during the second century B.C., these pyramids stand as witnesses of the
Egyptians architectural and engineering mastery. I always wonder why ancient
Egyptians shaped and moved a numerous of block stones without using any
modern technologies, and what materials they used to stick these big rocks
together. It’s amazing, and we are very lucky when we inherit a special
architecture of previous generations. Therefore, the pyramids have a special
meaning, they not only remind the visitor to remember builder but also show
their cultural characteristic in the place.


In reality, although I have ever heard a lot of information about the Pyramids,
their myths, and mysterious stories, learning and practice must go together, so
my visit is not complete until I see and touch directly these ancient
structures.This moment will live in our memory for many years to come because
we live in real situations, it helps us come up with new ideas and actions. For
example, I am in good mood to take some photos to leave a good memory.
Moreover we should spend time on the pyramids through media mass, or try to
exchange their information with people who live around there to enrich not only
the pyramids’ historic but also their culture and characteristic. Last but not at
least, it’s time to relax, because we should take advantages to change your
motion as well as open our eyes to the world after series of tired working days.
Thus visiting the pyramids in particular and other landscapes in general which
bring a lot of benefits and add happiness into our life.
I wish I had a magic carpet of Aladdin to have a journey to many places,
especially the architecture Pyramids that are out of this world, then a getaway to
the mystical land of Egypt is the perfect place to indulge your dreams.

To day, I wake up at half past night A.M. It’s too late. I start my computer and I
listen Tony Bennett’s song with title: “ I left my heart in San Francisco”. Yesterday
evening, I had a funny dream. I had a margic carpet of Aladdin and I used it to
come San Fracisco. I felt very wonderful and It’s a beautiful city. Tony Bennett’s
heart was in Union square.
In my dream, San Francisco was a nice city with the sunny days. I saw a blue sky,
a peaceful and windy sea. I was really interesting. I run around the beach and I
could the sand under my two foots. May be I heard the sound of the wind, the
sound of the wave and the sound of my heart.I sat down a big stone and I saw a
green hills. It was made me comfortable very much.The weather in San Francisco
usually is quite cold and the summer has the morning fog.I love it. I love the chill
air and I wish I live in it forever. San Francisco is one of wonderful destinations.
Besides, San Francisco is the house of Golden Gate bridge.This bridge is very
famous with interesting films. The city is known by Chinatown,famous Cable Car
and Lombard with beautiful roses. In my dream, I had many photos about them
and I was very happy.I wasn’t strange when Tony Bennett lost his heart in San
Francisco.
And the people in San Francisco often travel by public traffic such as : bus,
taxis,train, cable car… I like cable car.
I love America and San Francisco. The beautil is very impress. I love both noisy
and quiet in San Francisco. I wake up but I want my dream more long.My heart

If Tomorrow is the end of world, i ask by myself, what the thing I want to do
most? I have a lot of wish, and one of them is go to the poorest city in the world.
By what? Plane, car, train? … any thing. But now, I have a magic carpet as a the

one of Aladdin, i will use it like a traffic. And toHaiti is country, which city I want
to come.
Haiti's economy is still recovering from the massive earthquake in January 2010.
The popular still live with desease, children don’t heritance a good education
system, and the people don’t use the best health care system. I care to that
problem and want to change present. You could think me crazy, but I realy think
to that like the big trouble. In the world, developed country help for poor country
a lot of money. Why are they still poor? Because they only care to them about
economy, don’t care about education in Haiti. With any country, the Education
always the base for develop. Education created good people in mind. The Mind
create active, …Active of develop.
If come to Haiti, I will join it like a volunteer, the teacher volunteer. The firt
reason I bealive about my education opinion. I will teacher for children at Haiti,
talk with them:”Haiti is poor country, if you want to be develop, you need learn
more and more, then apply knowlwdge in face” But that job don’t work alone, I
want share that ideal for more and more younger, who want to be chance agent
of the world. The second reason, I love childen. I am going to work with my love

would be your destination? Explain why?
9o Richter earthquake’s intensity, 10.000 deaths, 235 millions USA damage, etc –
that are the biggest numbers that all Japanese had to experience in 2011.
However, the fact that all people in the world must be surprised and touched is
not series of huge destructions with respect to human and wealth, is their
culture in dealing with the disaster and Japanese’s willing when they saw one of
the most bad events in their country’s history. Therefore, I would like to fly on

the Aladdin’s carpet to Japan.
Japan is called “Land of Rising Sun” – which stretched on some geological
construct parts and this unstable geology makes Japan be suffered about 1.000
earthquakes each year. Government always set up a lot of modern technologies
everywhere to protect people and center buildings, especially atomic power
factories – where the main power is produced.
Firstly, I am curious about “Fukushima 50”.This word means that there are 50
engineers was working in the Fukushima factory at this time. If each container
was not cool, the possible of explosion would reach the highest point. To protect
all people in Japan, 50 workers volunteered in the death land where radioactive
concentration covered everywhere and the blooming would happen anytime. I
really admire their sacrifice and want to meet them to listen about the time they
experienced. No name hero inscribed human’s history.


The second reason is while society seemed to be troublous, a 9-age children who
was patient, suffered hardship, gave her small food into the secured box in the
long line. This act made me surprised very much because she knew her
responsible when she was small. Perhaps, each of us educated about toleration
with another in school but it seems difficult to practice in real life. Japan is the
typical country having excellent education which gives more humanity actions to
every people in the world. That is a value lesson to the teenagers nowadays.
Finally, Japan is the closely neighborhood of Viet Nam. There has many important
things that we can learn from their experienced such as the alarm system in the
city and sea, how to cope with these problems. Therefore, I want to learn more
about techniques in Biology to protect our environment effectively from huge
storms. Besides, I am willing to enquire the way to deal with disaster: patient,
enthusiasm and sacrifice.
Only when does the ocean fish not swish, Japan does not suffer serious issues.
My destination is Japan, I hope that I can contribute my knowledge to help the

people to overcome the difficult, moreover, to contribute Viet Nam society – my
mother land.

One day, I see a dirty carpet on the floor when coming the bedroom. It is
taken and rubbed by my hand because I just wanna clear it.Unexpected, a spirit
appear and say: “I will take you to somewhere which your hope”. Some view slide
in my head just before I see that I stand on a large sand front of huge
pyramids.That’s Egypt which creats one of the world's earliestcivilizations.

When I was a child, I have read a story naming “the queen of Egypt”.It
talked about a girlwith a yellow hair living in the 20 th century who beyonded the
time back to the ancient times to meet a king and change the Egypt’s history.
Night by night, I read the story and imagined that I was the blonde girl with a love
for the young king. I dreamed about the changing of the history by my courage
and modern knowledge. The ancienthuman worshiped me as a goddess because
of their empty knowledgethat I know. For a long time, I learn about Egyps, so It
became to go into my life.
I step by teponthehotsandunderthe sunofmediteranean climate. Sparkling
Nile river which leads Egypt to agricultural development appears beside me. I
walk along the river to feel the smooth alluvial resulting flood and compare fields
in my country with here.I keep moving until seeing the palace. A group of people
enter the palace and I follow them before I know I’m wearing the same their
clothes. Ancient activities are shown in front of my eyes.
I have learnt about the Egyptian ceremony and curse. However, It’s
surprised when see this live view by my eyes. People begin prostrate statues
which I can’t define belonging to dead kings or gods. Someone say some things or
sing. I believe that It’s a kind of old language. Flared fire make my face seeming


burn up. Someone in the big overcoat start reading yellow papers.I don’t know
how I gradually understanding this language. I recognize mummificationrituals by
what they are saying. I move to close the stone table to see clearly.Suddenly, I
am pulled back by a invisible power.I’m so afraid before I realize scene watched
by myself…
Reng…Reng…I wake up on my familiar bed. Is that just a dream? I look
around my room but I don’t see any carpet. I get out my bed and see that the
book naming “The fascinatingstoryofancient Egypt” next to my pack. Remember,
I really fall asleep while reading this book. Maybe my thought creat that strange
dream from my wish.Now, although it’s only dream, I’m sure that I’m going to

visit Egypt instead of my present dream, one day.

If I had a magic carpet as the one of Aladdin, I would like to go to Paris, this is the
capital of France
Actually, there are several cities in the world I like to visit them and enjoy them. I
know it is hard to choose one and leave the others because any one of them has
advantages and beautiful, wonderful place which make you relax and enjoyable.
For me, I prefer to live in Paris than the others cities for several reasons.
First of all, because I have visited Paris before when I was 10 years, I went there
with my family in summer season to visit my grand sister, she has lived there
since more than 25 years with her husband and family, thus, I hope to go there
again to remember my memories.
Second, I like to live in big and crowded and famous city such as Paris. As you
know I love the fashion and I am looking for the least news of the fashion like
Make-up, clothes, designers from Channel, Dior, and Givenchi. All these things
exist in Paris the capital city of the fashion.
Third, in fact, I love the weathers in Paris especially in winter season, I like the
seeing of the ice especially when it fall down, therefore, winter season is my
favourite season in Paris. Really it is romantic weathers.
Moreover, Paris is the favourite place for the celebrates and other famous people
in all fields even they spend their leisure time by shopping and celebrating in


Paris, thus, this is appropriate time and place to meet my favourite actors George
Cloony.
Conclusion, since I was young until this moment I dream that live in Paris for ever
and own a distinct apartment at Eiffel tower street, I hope achieve my dream in
the future.

If I have had a Flying Magic Carpet like one of Aladdin in the fairy tale “Arabian
Nights”, I would just stay here in my home country – Vietnam.
Everybody may ask me why? Why could I have such magical thing, but don’t use
it? Use it for traveling, for relaxing. I will use it, but in a properly way. The Magic
Carpet, as it named, has magical power to fly away everywhere its master want
to. To me, it not just only a kind of transportation, but also, made me have the
power to deliver my message to my people. And if I have had a Magic Carpet, I
would go everywhere in Vietnam to tell the people what I want to say.
But why would I do that? Vietnam is a not-yet-developed country. Everyday,
people are suffering. From traffic accidents, pollution, social threats, food
security… Many things are threatening the people. And all those threats are
created by the people themselves.
Everyday, about 30 people killed and large number was injured by traffic
accident. It causes great losses of life and property. Victims become burden for
their family, for the social. All of the consequences are caused by the
consciousness of the drivers, were too low. If I have had the Carpet, I would fly
everywhere, telling everyone please be caution when traveling by personal
transportation. I would tell everyone that stop using alcoholic drinks before
driving. Please imagine that everyone on the road is your family, slow down
before you hurt your family members’. We have a common origin, please protect
your relatives.
I would fly every rural, to tell all the farmers, be working hard like the old times.
Agriculture started very long time ago, please keep it. It may be a little bit harsh
saying like this, but farmers, as I have known, nowadays, are too mercenary. It
makes me very sad. They use chemicals on agricultural products to improve the



productivity. They’ve never know that’s harmful for users. Users may suffer from
the toxicants. Please the farmers, don’t be so selfish, think wisely before you do
such things. Please use the nature ways that our ancestors used. Protect every
people, bring deliciousness to everyone.
I would fly to all the forests are suffering from deforestation. Ours are bleeding! I
would tell that what they’re doing, is terribly wrong. It’s endangering every
species living in the forest, endangering the environment. Every big tree chopped
down will damage smaller trees. Please stop the exploitation. Think for your
posterities. Conserve the resources, so their child could use it in the future.
And, I would ask everybody: do you want your country powerful? Then you
should practice yourselves. Be stronger, healthier, then, you will have the
aptitude to obtain knowledge. When you have knowledge, you will automatically
have ethics. Those are three things make ours country developed. And I will do,
too. I won’t stop learning, practicing. I want my country to be like the UK, the
USA. I don’t want to use the Carpet to fly around, enjoying the good things of
others, and then come back and watch the country undeveloped, polluted.
Sometimes I wondering if they have had the Magic Carpet, so their country was
so beautiful, was so developed. And I want my country to be so. And that’s the
way I how would I use the Carpet.
