In the modern life, technology has been taking an important role in the development of human.
The rapid expansion of technology in many fields such as biology, information, space and so on
has many positive effects on the human life. However, several people reckon that the
disadvantages are undeniable. The governments as well as authorities wonder whether modern
technology is our ally or our foe. Smartphone is taken as an example in this essay to answer that
question.
To be an invisible enemy, smartphone affects negatively on human in several aspects. The
smarter telephone is, the more people depend on it. It seems to be difficult to leave home without
a smartphone. The main function of smartphone is communication along with the others such as
camera, amusement and so on… Many people are so shy that they feel it hard to communicate
directly with the others. They always use smartphone at anytime and anywhere. It is refutable
that people come up against the obstacles of communication. They waste their time on mobile
phone instead of hanging out with friends and making new friends. Smartphone prevents people
from meeting face to face in order to have direct communication.
Moreover, the price of products is very expensive. To own a genuine one, people have to pay lots
of money and use it cautiously to protect it from falling or broking. Smartphone develops time to
time and many consumers are ready to pay at high price to get one. Clearly that it is unlikely to
catch up with technology, especially smartphone because of its fast innovation
On the contrary, smartphone is a useful friend if human know how to use it in the best way.
Except from keeping in touch with people who live far by the low price or fastest speed, it is also
a perfect combination for whom who are interested in technology. It integrates many features
such as camera, text message, online and offline games, music player, recorder. A smartphone
can replace completely a computer, a television, a recorder, a notebook, a digital camera and so
on. With the high resolution screen, people can watch videos and play games without sitting in
front of television or computer at the definite time. To whom who are interested in photography
and do not have enough money to buy a digital camera, a smartphone is the best solution to take
a place of. In addition, they are able to edit the photos immediately with many available effects,
decoration, frames and so on. With the maps installed on smartphone, users can find where they
are and the direction to the determined destination.
To end up, along with the brief development of smartphone in particular and technology in
general, human always have to be active in using it. That technology is our enemy or our friend
depends on how people put into practice because in fact, the aim to invent the achievments of
technology is solely to make human life better.
