Purpose
The sample questions in the Getting to Know TOEFL Primary Reading and Listening Student Booklet are for
students to get to know the TOEFL Primary® reading and listening test questions and structure and how to
complete the answer sheet before taking the test.
The sample questions used in the booklet were created by professional test developers at ETS. The sample
questions are an accurate reflection of what is found in an actual TOEFL Primary Step1 or Step 2 test book.
Follow directions for completing the answer sheet as provided in the TOEFL Primary Reading and Listening

sample questions the next day. Completing the first side of the answer sheet and the sample items is about 1
