Mozart was born on January, 27th, 1756 in the Austrian city of Salzburg. He
was neither the first nor the last child prodigy, but he was certainly the greatest. He
was born into a moderately prosperous family where his unmatched musical gunius
made itself known extremely early. Mozart began learning to play the harpsichord at
three and his earliest known work was composed in 1761 when he was only five, the
age at which he was also first appeared in public. From the age of six, when his father
first took him on the first foreign tour, Mozart toured the courts and musical concerts
of Austria, Germany, France, England, Holland, Switzerland and Italy. It has been
calculated that Mozart spent almost a third of his short life travelling. He died at the

performed in Milan when he was 14. It was the first of many successes in the theater.

Television is an important invention of the 20th century. It has been so

popular that now we can't imagine what life would be like if there were no
television. Television is a major mean of communication. It brings pictures and
sounds from around the world into millions of homes. TV viewers can see and
learn about people, places and things in far away lands. TV provides us with a
variety of programs that can satisfy every taste. Most people now like spending
their evenings watching TV. It is more convenient for them to sit at home
watching TV than to go out for amusement elsewhere.
